The third edition of the Africa Policy Forum on Natural Capital 2026 has taken place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 6-8 October. This high-level continental platform focused on moving Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) beyond the production of accounts and into practical use in policy, public finance, private investment and development finance decisions. Through country experiences and peer exchanges, the forum demonstrated how NCA can inform national planning, budgeting, legislation and investment decisions to transform Africa's economies. Technology, artificial intelligence, and NCA’s contribution to green jobs and youth employment also featured as cross-cutting priorities throughout.
