Yesterday was a bit warm in the Cuse so I went to Cold Stone Creamery for some vanilla ice cream.
I asked for a SMALL ice cream and when I looked over, the clerk was stuffing the little cup better than a turkey.
I ran over to him and saying, nooooooooooo....I wanted a small.
Well he just passed me my order and while I walked away a tad annoyed, I thought, " well, I'll just eat half."
But my Cold Stone experience made me think about meal proportions in the U.S
A small= at least a medium and a medium= at least a large.
It's ridiculous...some how bigger is better but when you're adding on a 200-300 extra unneeded calories to my meal then we have this disease known as OBESITY.
I tried to watch another episode of No Reservations and I couldn't finish the episode.
Anthony Bourdain was in Quebec stuffing himself with endless amounts of foie gras.
Images of poor ducks and geese being forced feed kept flooding my mind.
So went back to browsing and came across the movie Food, Inc.
As many of us yankee know, the food industry is run by individuals more interested in their larger than life back accounts than the health of the American people.
When you have the time, please check out the film.
Take back your health by making healthier choices in the food you eat and where you spend your money.

Just repainted and with more trees to hide it... apparently they got sick of people taking photographs. With that knowledge how could I not?
This is the tree of knowledge at the Ballarat University. It is a splendid sight to behold, this enormous tree in the midst of concrete buildings. I heard from someone there that when in need of extra energy, the tree is the perfect place to rejuvinate yourself. Nature is always a good place to be to be refreshed.
