My pirate sigfig, Eleman, needed a ship. and calling it the Elephant Knight seemed to be a no brainer. The crew consists of Eleman, A couple other Pirate sigfigs I have acquired, (You know who you are) a dude made for a contest, and all those secret pirates who have made their way to me.

Went out today (for the first time) using my detachable flash vor taking photos .. Was blown away after only two seconds.

Let the practice begin.

This is for our knight. Happy Birthday, B.

First Imperial Knight from House Hazamel

Here is my #bringbacklegocastle build for April. It’s a series of set-like MOCs, that’s why I like to call them advanced-set-design. This time around it is the set 1584 - Knights Challenge from 1988, which was released as 6060 year later. I really had fun building this one, because it’s pretty colourful for a castle set. Since all sets I made until now are Black Knights or Black Falcons I wanted to continue this trend here and chose to incorporate the newly released Black Ravens. As the original it features a total of 8 minifigures, which is quite a lot for a set of this size. I like that LEGO sets nowadays incorporate more female characters, so that’s what I did here as well. Another goal is to put in more animals in those sets - so I count 4 here! Also as you already might have spotted I went back with all yellow faces for a more classic style. What do you guys think about the yellow heads? And what do you think about the set as a whole?

(Also: I forgot to build a weapons rack from the original set😇)

If you like what I build, I would appreciate a vote on Lego Ideas.

This is a MOC from a collaboration project where members are building chess pieces. Having never created a horse before, I took on designing the knight figure for the medieval team (white). Base designed by Ryan McBryde (goatman461).

Elephant 'Kolkata Knight Riders', is the creation of artist Lalit Modi, and is inspired by the Kolkata Knight Riders, an Indian Premier League cricket team.

'Elephant Parade' is a charity which runs the world’s largest art exhibition of colourfuly decorated elephant sculptures. These are created by professional artists, and each is a unique work of art. The life-size, baby elephant sculptures are exhibited all around the world in order to raise awareness of elephant conservation.

My sassy Dark and Dingy Knight. His boyfriend always wants him to be the Batman to his Robin, but that never happens.

Any knight on campaign is going to want some of the comforts they’re accustomed to, and a place to store their gear.

I met Sir Edward at the Sherwood Faire in McDade, Texas. He was a very imposing figure sitting in a large chair around the knights table. He was quite proud of this table as he had handcrafted it along with others in his Dragon group. He and the others also handcrafted the wishing well at the fair that is also quite impressive.

I asked him if he would mind if I photographed him for this project, and he readily agreed as he grabbed his sword. You don't see the sword in this picture as I prefer the detail of his elaborate headgear.

This picture is #29 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/

Finished my Dark Knight (rises) Batman figure! Credit for the decals goes to cygnet UD.

These photos are inspired by the Batman character from DC Comics, the idea was to create a set of portraits that would introduce a group of characters living and fighting crime in Gotham City and calling themselves “Gotham Knights”. There is going to be a video teaser for a fake tv series with the same title and some other promo materials soon.

This is still a Work In Progress project and there will be more characters added to the series.

Technical note: all the photos were taken on the same location, however all of them were taken on a different day. No artificial light was used here, only sunlight and a cheap reflector. The camera I used was Canon 5D Mark I with 35mm and 40mm canon lenses. Edited in Photoshop and Illustrator.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who participated and helped me with this silly project (in no particular order): Bob Holmes, Matt Pollard, Katie Reynolds, Jack Thorpe, Marek Hołówka, Dominika Wiśnik, Anna Carina, Ian Azille, Natalia Sztandera, Kamil Lemieszewski, Ula Bankiewicz, Daniela Ionta. Special thanks to Piotr Kasprzyk for the help with the Gotham Knights logo - you are “the bestest”!
