Held at Doncaster Racecourse on 6 Sept 2014, Knight-Con showcased cosplay, stars and cars and was an awesome day out. I got to meet Virginia Hey, Chase Masterson, Femi Taylor, Pam Rose, Kenny Baker, David Prowse, Ken Coombs and Sarah Douglas and catch up with good friends and make new ones as well.

2/52 for the group T189ers weekly alphabet challenge
This week's theme was: A is for Apparition
This was quite challenging, especially as I had an essay deadline looming and thus less time for photography than usual.
I had thought of playing with a long exposure in the woods, but I didn't have the time or energy and the weather was wet and dreary. So on the way to the Welsh class, I grabbed this quick shot of the Owain Glyndwr statue in Corwen and tried to make it look like a ghostly knight.
I'm not entirely happy with some of the cloning and a better starting image would have made things easier, but I think the basic principle has worked.
South transept - Hugh Courtenay, second Earl of Devon, d1377, and wife, Margaret Bohun, d1391. Heavily restored (new heads and hands) in early C19
National Maritime Museum, Greenwich London. Knights Battle. These chaps were really hitting each other hard. Only the odd pulled blow! Try holding a sword after this pole axe hits ya hand.
The grave of Sir John de Abernon in St. Mary's Church, Stoke D'Abernon, Surrey. This brass carving was made in 1277 and is the oldest in Britain. The blue enamel on the coat of arms is also original.
The Poor Knights lily (Xeronema callistemon) is endemic to the Poor Knights Islands and Taranga Island in the north of New Zealand. It was discovered in 1924. The Poor Knights lily has large bottlebrush flower clusters that grow horizontally. The clusters begin growing vertically and then bend sideways. Bright red flowers grow upward from the stalk, with bright orange pollen. The plant can reach a height of one metre tall and across.
Julius Knight is dressed in a suit, tie, and a vest. He is sitting on a bench in a single pose. In one pose he is wearing a fedora and in the other pose he is not. No date was noted for this picture. The photo was scanned from a 3 1/2 x 5 black and white Kodak negative with no visible damage.
Suffolk knights re-enactors, seen here at St. George's Day event - with a couple of our friendly county police joining in the fun!
Knight's DollBakery eyes arrived finally! They're such a beautiful color. Had some issues getting them, and I was/am a bit worried that 12mm might now be too big for him but they've finally grown on me to the point I don't want to just shove them into a box. (But they really are a lovely color; there was never any doubt of that.)
Now all Knight needs are some of his own wigs and I'll be happy. That and maybe more clothing.
