The effigy of the Unknown Knight in plate armour. The knight’s head rests on a jousting helmet crested with a dog’s head. His feet rest on a lion. A sword and dagger hang from his bejewelled belt. This tombs (and the Lady) both probably date from the late 1300s to the late 1400s.
Installed these Knight Design Silver Anodized Hunter Tread footpegs. To say it was a snap is to make it sound too hard. Pull a retaining clip, insert the torsion spring, and reinstall the clip. So easy.
They are really nice to stand on. I had very positive traction on them, and it seems easier to shift with the 3/4" height drop.
These are some of the figures from the clock in Wells Cathedral. The white knight on the left is "killed" every quarter hours and a number of times for each hour - For 400 YEARS and never complains!
A knight's helmet made out of fired porcelain. The paint on the helmet is a mix of metallic silver and black, lending some artificial grime to the piece.
