We have some pretty Lisianthus brightening the kitchen at the moment which is most welcome on a murky, wet day like today! Tried to add a texture but didn't really know what I was doing - really must watch some tutorials ;)

Another shot from the East Coulee School Museum. I had a lot of fun taking pictures here. I think my new flash made all the difference. This room was quite dark and gloomy.
I love the way things were displayed here too. I think that makes it more interesting.

I was quite struck by the way quality of the oblique afternoon light falling on these large (probably 5 - 10Kgs) cannisters in a friend's kitchen, gives them an amost architectural appearance. To me, there's no such thing as an uninteresting subject. These cannisters may be quite mundane for most of the day, unworthy of too much attention, but when the light arrives...!
