New oak sliding folding doors span the full width of the garden extension and a structural glass fixed rooflight also spanning across the extension both combine to maximise daylight within the newly created kitchen and dining area connecting the space seamlessly to the garden when doors are opened fully.

This is the red and black glass vessel sink I custom made the fused glass tiles to match. My customer used the fused glass accent tiles in her flooring design to coordinate with this sink.
The contemporary design of this bathroom is seen in completion in the other pictures in my photostream.
We've sold our apartment! (In three days!) And we're buying a new one! (New as in being built right now and ready to move into in October.) It all happened a bit fast, we found the new apartment plans and really liked them and thought about it for a few weeks and did some math (well Minna did some math) and realized that it might very well be in our budget if we sold our apartment for a little bit of profit and then decided to try it and wow, three days later it's a done deal! We're signing papers at the end of this month and moving out mid-March, but it's official already. It happened all really quickly but it is something we've been talking and thinking about for some months now so it's not as out of the blue as it looks like. (Oh and we're going to rent a small apartment for the meanwhile, so we're not going to be homeless until October.)
So, first things first, I'm thinking about the kitchen in the new apartment. It's about the same size as the one in this apartment but it's open to the living room (I really love the floor plan of the new apartment - I'll have to share it with you sometime). We like our current kitchen so we're not thinking about doing something crazy different from it, but one thing that I really want for the new kitchen is a nice exhaust hood. All the standard kitchen appliances in the new apartment are white and since it would go well over our budget to change them all for the more expensive stainless steel (and since Minna doesn't really like the look), we've already decided to go with the all white appliances. But what about the exhaust hood, should it be white or black? I don't think I've ever seen one of this style in white (except in that one lonely picture I found - and I don't even remember where I found it. Sorry!) so it looks a bit weird to me. But I don't know if the black would look weird when all the other appliances are white? (the picture with the black hood is from Sköna Hem, via the style files). I think they both would look lovely but since most hoods of this style are stainless steel I guess that my eyes haven't gotten used to seeing them in white or black and that's why I can't decide if they look weird or not! So, what do you think? Also, thanks if you made it this far, I didn't mean to write an essay about exhaust hoods!
