Decora cabinetry, cherry butcher block counter top for plating and serving meals, glass-front upper cabinets display the owner's china collection.
Modeled in SketchUp7 and rendered with Artlantis Studio 2. This has been my favorite interior rendering to date. The only parts of the design which were preset were the shell of the room and the cabinet design. I picked a color scheme, furniture, and accessories that create a classic, transitional look where both modern and traditional objects can coexist in the same space. The centerpiece is of course the light fixture where I chose to randomly place multiples of the same pendant in two different sizes to define the island.

The big home supply centers do a very good job of offering every door style, wood type, and finish under the sun. They also do a very good job of distracting you from the two biggest features that you should be focused on, which are price and quality of construction.
One of the biggest mistakes you can make is impulse buying or letting your emotions affect your decision, without doing some research. It is really important to do some research before going into the store and have a budget in mind.

Fused Dichroic Glass Cabinet Knob is 1-1/2" square and comes attached cabinet hardware. You have the choice of finish on the hardware.
Choose from Antique Bronze, Satin Nickle, Polished Chrome,
Brushed Brass, and Oil Rubbed Bronze. Comes with 1" screw.
Fused Dichroic Glass Tile is the same size as the knob in this listing. But, can be ordered in any size up to 6" square.
Fused Dichroic Glass Drawer Pulls to match the fused glass tile and glass knob are also available. Fused Dichroic Glass Pulls are approximately 5/8" x 4-1/2". Custom sizes are also available.
Again you have your choice of cabinet hardware finish. Comes with two 1" screws.
