Two legends with their talent that entangled us for decades.And a man in the right corner is a ordinary man from Old Dhaka. He runs a shop from where you can rent microphones and cassettes.
Perhaps these photos are hanging on the wall from his young age. Years have passed, People have changed, People in the pic have remained young and he get old doing the same thing everyday.
We pass our life dazzling with the talents of the stars. How many of us the the gut to become one of them?

I have always been amused during the Jungle safaris how the guard/driver wont wait and stop for a beautiful landscape or bird and run around for the tiger. In the process the present is missed and the future mostly does not happen. I have sighted tigers in only 10% of the safaris maybe. As Mark Twain said - " I have known a great many troubles but most of them never happened".
BTW today is Kishore Kumars birthday. I believe he was the best thing to happen to Hindi film music and sharing on of my favs sung by him..

While I sometimes curse my shyness in asking people to pose for photographs, I was bowled over by the child-like enthusiasm of this old man in getting himself photographed.
"எங்களை எல்லாம் போட்டோ புடிக்க மாட்டீங்களா?"(Will you not photograph me?) was the way he approached me.
I am reminded of a song from the Hindi film Harjaee(1981). Written by Nida Fazli, composed by the legendary R.D.Burman and sung by the equally legendary Kishore Kumar, this song is one of my all time favourites.

I always thought the spelling was Paan, but evidently the owner of this store doesn't think so! We visit this Paan house from time to time. It is on Ealing Road and has a selection of paans for sale. The gulkhand they use in the mita paans is very good and doesn't have that sickeningly sweet taste and actually tastes like is it meant to task. The only disappointment with this place is that they often don't have the very delicate maghai paan leaves.

This has to be one of my favourite place in Pune and I must have taken about 10 pictures in this 365 around this area. The sunset is just brilliant there and if you're lucky you might just catch a glimpse of a lone fisherman passing by steering into the sunset and waving a 'hello' at you when he looks at you clicking away.
I like the harmony of colours in this one. How the colours neatly mix into one another without having a sharp boundary.
