Maria was here to present tips & techniques on how to use an Instant Pot with confidence. The SAGE program featured samples of Maria's Colombian-style grilled chicken breast and quinoa.
On Friday 6/8, #KingwoodLibrary staff joined Precinct 4 #Fun4Seniors on a Discover Houston Tours. Tour Guide Phil Stewart led the group on a bus tour from Buffalo Bayou to Old Market Square, Minute Maid Park, River Oaks, Rice University, the Medical Center, and NRG Stadium.
On Tues 11/13, Ms. Maria Riveras was at the #KingwoodLibrary for a SAGE program. She gave tips and techniques on how to cook with an #InstantPot. Later, she prepared turkey meat balls in a delicious tomato- based sauce using an Instant Pot. Everyone enjoyed a sample of the food.
Deputy Director Joe & Assistant Law Librarian Heather of Harris County Law Library spoke at #KingwoodLibrary on Tues 1/29 at our SAGE Legal Workshop. Topics included data privacy as well as free resources & legal services. Also, safety tips for computers & devices were discussed.
Deputies from Harris County Precinct4 Constable's Office visited #KingwoodLibrary to share holiday shopping & safety tips. Patrons asked questions. Advice: lock car doors, keep items out of view (in car trunk), be aware of surroundings, & don't get distracted by strangers.
On Saturday 6/23 the St. Basil School of #GregorianChant performed @ #KingwoodLibrary. The program covered the history of chant with an historical manuscript. The choir chanted a piece from the book of Wisdom composed by the late Fr. Columba Kelley of Meinrad Abbey that was dedicated to the library.
