This photo was taken at the wrong time of the day, that is the Sun was almost facing the Camera.
The reason was to let the Sun reflects enough light on the far uphill road (Right side of the image) to be more visible.

The Wall is a colossal fortification which stretches for 100 leagues (300 miles) along the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms, defending the realm from the wildlings who live beyond. The Wall is reported to be over 700 feet tall and is made of solid ice. It was supposedly constructed using both magic and mundane means some eight millennia ago, in the aftermath of the Long Night to defend the realm against the White Walkers who apparently dwell in the far north, though they are now considered myths by most.

The Wall is defended and held by the Sworn Brothers of the Night's Watch. Once an honorable institution, the Watch has fallen on hard times by the time of the War of the Five Kings. It has become grievously undermanned, numbering less than a thousand men, an all-time low. While once great glory and honor was to be had in the Watch, in the present day it is often seen as a glorified penal colony.
The current headquarters of the Watch is Castle Black, located in the shadow of the Wall at the northern end of the Kingsroad. Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, located at the eastern end of the Wall, serves as the main port and resupply post for the Night's Watch. The Shadow Tower at the western end of the Wall is the only other manned castle. Among the abandoned castles along the length of the Wall is the Nightfort, the first fortress built on the Wall and the original headquarters of the Night's Watch. The region south of the Wall is called the Gift, bestowed to the Night's Watch by House Stark thousands of years ago to supply the Night's Watch with food and provisions.

Montreal, or Qal'at ash-Shawbak in Arabic, is a castle built by the Crusaders and expanded by the Mamluks, on the eastern side of the Arabah Valley, perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain, looking out over fruit orchards below. The ruins are located next to the modern town of Shoubak in Jordan. Wikipedia.

This is a bronze statue of a boy leapfrogging a post in the Duke of York’s Square, Kings Road, London. The statue is by Allister Bowtell.

Made famous by Game of Thrones as the filming location of Kingsroad, this avenue of beech trees form an atmospheric tunnel. The place is filled with tourists during the day but in that early morning, I was the only person there.

Bill Evans was one of the most groundbreaking pianists of the last century who pushed the boundaries of jazz piano playing to new levels. His intimate sound, combined with his advanced harmonic and rhythmic capabilities are still influencing musicians today. Four UK jazz legends unite for this special tribute to the undoubted master of the modern jazz piano trio, Bill Evans.
No trip to Ireland is complete without a stop at the Dark Hedges. In about 1775, James Stuart built a new house, named Gracehill House after his wife Grace Lynd. Over 150 beech trees were planted along the entrance road to the estate, to create an imposing approach. According to legend, the hedges are visited by a ghost called the Grey Lady, who travels the road and flits across it from tree to tree. The Dark Hedges were popularized when the location was used as a filming location for the "King's Road" in the television series “Game of Thrones”. -wikipedia

The site is in a remote location.
At the time of the shot, the weather was clear.... Usually, the weather is dusty means a dull image with a poor Horizon....
The time of the photo taken was also critical, so it was taken in the afternoon, as morning time will have the Sun facing the Camera, also too late will have a MIXED Light Condition (Shadows of the mountains).

This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century. It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress visitors as they approach the entrance to their Georgian mansion Gracehill House. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and have become one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland. In fact, the iconic trees have been used as a filming location in epic series Game of Thrones, representing the Kingsroad.

My favorite tree on the way to Ranca, on Transalpina road. It is set near a dangerous curve and until today I could not stop to photograph it.
It was worth the wait, today's sky was a definition.

A few days down in London saw us visit the 'BEYOND THE STREETS' exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. A superb collection from the last 50 years of ephemera, fashion, installations and artwork capturing the impact of graffiti and street art across the world, covering the often rough and raw beginnings to more disciplined studio works that some artists have evolved to.
All three floors of the gallery are given over to the exhibition - a visual feast and a fabulous way of spending a couple of hours👍
This wall features the work of US artist Shepard Fairey.
