We all know what it feels like to give without reciprocation or proper acknowledgement.
Perhaps you held the best intentions while giving but despite your efforts things did not turn out the way that you had envisioned.
Maybe this has discouraged you from putting yourself out there again, or caused you to feel nervous about what will happen if you do. Expectations can cloud the true results of giving, making it difficult to see the meaningful impact our caring and kindness truly makes. When we give simply for the sake of giving, things become more clear.
Consider the act of giving as a reward in itself. Remove any attachment to an outcome, and just give with pure intention.
Discerning giving creates a more caring world, therefore, giving in itself is a reward for the giver and those who experience the giving โ and the circle of experience is broad! Maybe we are just meant to give so that we re-balance the negativity in the world with the positive energy created by our giving. Maybe we are meant to give so that we can correct the errors of the past and break unhealthy cycles. Or maybe we should give simply because it is the right behavior to model for future generations, despite the immediate result. Caring and kindness matters โ whether the impact is immediate or undetectable it really matters.
Letโs all make like giraffes today! Stand tall, reach for new heights and stick our necks out for others!
