Waimea, Kaua‘i.
A historic marker identifies this ancient aquifer as "Menehune Ditch". It is located right next to the Swinging Bridge. Like the ʻAlekoko Fishpond, it is also attributed to the Menehune by some, thus the aquifer is popularly known as "Menehune Ditch".
Other researchers believe that the stone-lined aquifer may have been constructed by early settlers of Kaua‘i. It remains a mysterious and very interesting feat of engineering.
