I'm just wondering which story she tells....

A cute, kids room design for my brother.

Here’s a build from the middle of May, this was originally built for RebelLUG’s monthly 2-hour build challenge from May (join this month's upcoming challenge on the RL discord!). That month the challenge was to use the 2x2 hinge plate in a build, which I used for some of the curtain rod. I also got to use some of all the many fun minifigure accessories LEGO has made over the years, which was quite enjoyable. Overall I'm quite happy with how this small build turned out, hope you all like it too!

Today we made fabric-covered backings for some old cube shelves, and hung them in our new bedroom. I'd love to do an entire wall up like this! (blogged)

Here sleep, play and live the kids.

Like all builds of my #brickrooms series the details and techniques get displayed and explained on StoneWars.

(Text in German, but lots of pictures)

I pretended like this was some sort of art installation. blogged.

Here is the view of the nursery when you walk in. We're still waiting on our area rug to come in. meandwee.blogspot.com

My son's bedroom in our 1928 Dutch colonial.

I purchased this map mural in 1991 for $59.95 from Environmental Graphics. But I see they want $150 for it now! Wow. I wonder why the huge price increase. I also found this for $120. Search "World Map Wall Mural" on eBay too.

There are many wall mural versions of maps; this map is published by National Geographic. The size is 13 ' x 8' 8" and it comes in eight panels (four top, four bottom). You can make the map "start" and "end" on any continent you want for placement purposes. It also shows flight paths and distances.

If you read the note near the window on the right (yes, where it's peeling), you can see that I matched a couple of the blue colors from the map at a paint store and used those two colors for the rest of the wall color. The two colors are rag-rolled together (passé, but it works nicely given the different ocean colors). The left edge of the mural is behind the desk just beneath the left window.

When I first saw this map being used as wallpaper, I was in love. What a great way to introduce my little ones (at the time) to my love of geography and cartography! Now they're teenagers and the mural has held up nicely. The colors are great and it's absolutely the type of graphic I love--great images with typography.

I've seen it used in a small half-bath/powder room; an upstairs attic on the ceiling and all the walls and of course in childrens' rooms.

I am very thankful that my parents are fantastic savers of all the great stuff I had when I was little, and that they bought the great stuff in the first place! This is the space at the top of our staircase, part of the upstairs hallway. It works perfectly for a little playhouse area, and only looks like this overnight and first thing in the morning.

Yes, he's a little soft and out of focus, but I love the action!

It must be nearly spring - Bibi's tree has sprouted new branches and leaves. Will be adding some birds and owls now! more pics to follow. xx

To celebrate the birth of his son this month, Copenhagen art dealer Nicolai Wallner invited the artists he represents "to do an exhibition celebrating the spirit of life."

This is the flyer for the show, titled "Silly Adults." It depicts, I'm guessing, Wallner's older son's room, which has some mighty sweet art in it. Congratulations, Wallners!

Seen in the floor of the girls' room. This unintended homage to the little red monster consists of half a barrel from the Barrel of Monkeys game and the eyes from Mister Potato Head.

Selina Lake and Sussie Bell -thank you for my lovely pictures.

I was lucky enough to have Selina Lake (author of Bazaar Style)www.flickr.com/photos/selinalake/ and Sussie Bell www.flickr.com/photos/23285283@N06/ shoot my house for a magazine. Here are just a few of my favourite shots. It was a lovely day and really nice to meet them both. I will post more shots soon.

I sewed this red pillow case. The fitted sheet is sewn by my mother.

This is Charlottas brand new play kitchen.

My husband and I made it for her.

I used fabrics by Room Seven.

The dress on the wall is a thrift find. It is handmade, probably from the fifties. It fits our daughter perfectly, and she wore it on her birtday. I just love this dress! :)

Don't you love this??
