I was so fortunate that I was able to photograph this tough little girl yesterday. I only had about a minute to take the shots since we were interrupting a judo class. I am very happy with the result I was able to get within that short time.
World kickboxing Muaythai General Federation Championship 2009
Amateur fighters from all over Korea came together in Suwon over the weekend to pound it out for a few rounds. The best part was that it took place outdoors. Just like Wrestlemania Vegas. With less Mean Gene.
Heart of a lion, this one. Not a chance I'd get in the ring with her. She went 2 rounds with a girl that had 15kg on her easy and didn't back down for a second. When they shut her down because of the blood she was livid.

So my buddy Dru 'Drucifer' Schottenheimer fought his first kickboxing match this evening in Akron, OH. He got me a ringside pass for his fight so I shot as much as I could.
This is my favorite non-action shot of the night because of the dramatic lighting. Whenever they were in the corners you couldn't see anything but as soon as they got close to the center it was pretty nice.
