Een Sorento met Gulf kleuren? Ja, maar het is niet bepaald een voor de hand liggende auto om dit toe te passen. Echter maakte deze Poolse eigenaar er serieus werk van, want het bleef niet alleen bij een livery. Ook prijkt het Gulf-logo op de velgen en heeft hij zelfs een gepersonaliseerd kenteken.

A Sorento with Gulf colors? Yes, but it's not exactly an obvious car to apply this. However, this Polish owner made serious work of it, because it was not just a livery. The Gulf logo also adorns the rims and it even has a personalized license plate.

Kia Motors have come a LONG LONG way from their budget origins and memories of cast off Mazda 121's wearing white wall tyres! As part of Hyundai they are now one of the Worlds largest car companies yet until now I haven't possessed a SINGLE 1/64 model wearing their badge, it seems they are still ignored by the vast majority of the Worlds toy industry. Surprising then that the very Germanic Siku have bucked this trend by recently bringing out this model of the latest generation Kia Sorento SUV and a casting i've been eager to find since I first saw pictures of it on the internet.
If you can get past those truly naff looking wheels which Siku persist in using this is an excellent rendition of the Sorento which benefits from the usual Siku touches such as build quality guaranteed to withstand even the roughest of play and solid feeling opening doors. Plenty of detailing of course especially at the front with its proud large grille and KIA badging. Bought recently from the Berlin branch of Toys R Us. Mint and boxed.
Photographed this wonderful car for Askja on the 1st of november 2020. I really love it. One of the most impressive cars I´ve tested so far, and they are plenty... Highly recommended.
