OY-KGF : Douglas DC-9-21 : SAS
Named "Rolf Viking".
Now, 40+ years later, there's another Viking called Rolf at Glasgow Airport - locally resident Norwegian aviation enthusiast Rolf Jonsen, also on Flickr. 😀

Sporting some replacement bumper panels that are temporarily navy blue, ALX400 18122 is out of service along Kesteven Street, Lincoln, on 17.7.23
As told to me by [https://www.flickr.com/photos/158827365@N05], it only ran in this state for two journeys and was painted the following day, so I was fortunate to see it like this.

Seen here at the top of Lindum Road, Lincoln's 2004 Alexander Trident 18122 is pictured on its descent through the city while on its way to the bus station with a 510 school service, on 4.5.23
This location was one that I'd decided to use as another place to phot Gainsborough's 06 plate ALX - with a 354 - and had been using other passing vehicles to figure out which position on the corner and on what side of the road to stand for the best photo. This angle turned out to be the winning one, but was risky as buses coming down were very likely to be bowled by traffic heading uphill.
It was by chance that one of the test shots ended up being a near identical looking ALX400 from Lincoln depot, and although I (luckily) didn't get bowled by traffic for either this or the 06 plate, this one actually came out as the better photo.

There are still a fair number of older Tridents in service in Lincoln, the earliest ALX400 example that I saw being 18123. This had been an East Midland bus, based at Worksop for most of its life, and only moving to Lincoln late last year. It looks in good shape, if rather anonymous, with only its small front fleetname.
During the first week of April I mainly ended up going out on the cloudier, rainier days than the sunny ones just though unfortunate timing, but an incredibly bright afternoon on the 3rd tempted me out to try and get the Centrebus in sun. It didn't completely work out (my spotting plans rarely do) but I did have a wind up at Dixon Street where the sunlight was absolutely perfect for a couple of 6s that were returning to the city centre from Birchwood.
The timetable must've been off-kilter as two passed only a minute apart, with an E400 followed by an ALX400. 18122 is seen here completely empty as it traverses Dixon Street - the bus in front having hoovered up any passengers it could have hoped to have carried - on 3.4.23
