Without actually seeing it, I was pretty certain I was near a bear. The woods were so thick, however, I couldn't see it and I doubt it could see me. It sounded heavy with a lot of thick branches breaking. A deer would be quieter and more graceful. But no incident. No encounter.
North Central Pennsylvania has undergone some major changes since I moved to North Carolina in 2000. These windmills are on Armenia Mountain in eastern Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. They weren't moving much when I saw them.
This may have been part of the tow path for the Pennsylvania Canal's West Branch division. Or it may have been an early attempt at diking the West Branch Susquehanna River. Either way it's man made and it is at Susquehanna State Park in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Open fieds in Delmont, Pennsylvania. We were in Delmont for the Alpple Festival and this was where the parking area and shuttle bus was.
North Central Pennsylvania has undergone some major changes since I moved to North Carolina in 2000. These windmills are on Armenia Mountain in eastern Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. They weren't moving much when I saw them.
