This 14th century keystone from the Hospital de St Jacques in La Romieu, France, stands in the cloisters of St Peter's College in the village. I have turned the photograph upside down, so that it appears as it would have been seen when it was in place as a keystone. The shields around the edge and the boss below showing the Agnus Dei don't make sense otherwise. The shield which is visible shows the three chess pieces which habitually appear on the arms of the d'Aux family members, plus the three bars of the related Got family.
