1870. Famous early-day stagecoach inn of J. L. N. Gracy. Windows have keystone arches. Native rock was hauled to site by oxen.
In rear was grave of boy killed by Indians; also bell tower, house for employees. Wagon yard was across road. (1965) (Marker No. 2935)

I had to pull some old backups out to grab an image for something, and stumbled upon some old stuff, so I'm uploading it all for safekeeping.
Bryan Wade, an award winning television producer, presented an oral history documentary titled “Keystones: The African American Veterans’ Experience”.
This documentary is the first of a fifteen-part documentary series which chronicles the lives of African American servicemen and women who served from World War II to the Vietnam War. In conjunction with this documentary, Wade created a school curricu-lum, which he said is the first of its kind in the country to teach African American oral history.

The Keystone Building (now known as 99 High Street) is the one on the right. Under construction in the center of the photo is 100 High Street.
Hidden across the road from the Hope & Anchor at Midford. The Somersetshire Coal Canal used to pass through a tunnel under the road. The tunnel is filled in, you can just make out the date (1806) on the keystone.
