At least, I'm pretty sure this is when we were driving into Keystone... I have a lot of pictures of mountains on my camera, they all look alike!
Had a great time with the family in Keystone this weekend. The folks at Keystone Lodge and Spa are wonderful.
I'm pretty sure this is Washington's newest ferry, the Chetzemoka, practicing docking at Keystone ferry landing on September 25, 2010. It began service between Port Townsend and Keystone/Coupeville on Nov 15, 2010. The name sounds like a Russian coffee drink from Starbucks but Chief Chetzemoka was a Klallum Native American from the Port Townsend area who died in 1888. There was an earlier ferry named Chetzemoka that was in service from 1938-1973.

Thee are first keystone arch railroad bridges built in America. They are wholly dry laid, range in height to 70 feet and made possible the longest and highest railroad in the world of its time, the Western Massachusetts Railroad. They cross the West Branch of the Westfield River
While killing some time at Latrobe, I walked around the ex-PRR depot and was surprised to see the keystone brickwork at the front entrance. I don't know if this was done later, but either way it was a nice touch!

Keystone, South Dakota
Constructed between 1899-1901, it served local children until 1988 when enrollment had fallen to 8 students. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and now houses a museum. It overlooks the "old" part of Keystone--the "non touristy" part.

An amazing view of the southern Rockies in Colorado. This was shot on a weekend retreat to Keystone ski area. With clear visibility for miles and miles, the mountain range looks spectacular. This was a perfect day for winter sports enthusiasts to spend their time on the slopes of Keystone, and for me - to spend some quality time enjoying the beauty of the mountains!
