Usually in The Netherlands our Bright Flower goes by the Latin name 'Primula'. Once in a while you'll hear it referred to as 'Sleutelbloem', Key Flower. That name comes from the way Primula veris (Cowslip) hangs in clusters much in the way of keys on a keyring. Primulas in 'the wild' are generally colored in various shades of yellow and white. But horticulturalists have had a hay day with Primula vulgaris in developing cultivars in many bright colours. So also these in the Hortus's garden shop. And, of course, they're grown for all seasons, early and late. On any glum day, a joy to see...

Another new camera that I treated myself to and it cost less than a tenner !!
It measures just 2 centimetres at it's widest or less than an inch if you want it in English . It lives on a ring attached to the case for the G1 X , but for this afternoon it came off for a macro capture as my one shot a day .

Shown here twisted, but this cord easily pops back to a circle and can be worn around the wrist, or add a clip to attach it inside a purse, backpack, and other secure places.

Scoubidou (Craftlace, scoobies) is a knotting craft, made for children. It originated in France, where it became a fad in the late 1950s and has remained popular. It is named after the 1958 song of the same name by the French singer Sacha Distel.
Two spools of plastic used for scoubidou
Scoubidou returned to fashion in various countries, including the United Kingdom, in 2004 and 2005. It uses commercially supplied plastic strips or tubes.[1]
The most common kind of thread used for the craft is flat and comes in many colors, sometimes called "gimp thread". Another kind of scoubidou thread is supple, round and hollow plasticized PVC tubes usually about 80 centimetres in length. They are sold in various colors, sizes and types, and are used to make items by binding them together with knots. On account of their elasticity and hollow cross-section—which allow them to collapse and deform when pulled—they form tight and stable knots. Key chains, friendship bands and other trinkets are most commonly woven, although more complicated shapes and figures can also be created.[2]
Leather keyring which I bought some years ago when we were in The Tatra Mountains. The flower on it (edelweiss) is one of the most characteristic plants in The Tatra Mountains National Park :)

Macro capture of a Shiny Object .
A quick caveat - while the Spitfire gets all the glory , we must not forget the under rated Hawker Hurricane which was so successful during the Battle of Britain !!
So to start with a random shot of the sky before it went all to cloud and then to the pop up oven top kitchen studio with a new keyring I have been given ( could have done for "new " last week , so glad I saved it ) . The keyring was bought from the RAF Hendon Museum online store and it is of a Spitfire . The capture of the little Spitfire was done with the Sigma 105 , and for a size comparison see the first comment box -knowing how the 105 makes avery short DOF when up close , Ihad to stop down a fair old way to keep the aeroplane in a sharp view .
I took 8 or 9 shots paying special attention to angles to create a realistic air to air style of capture. Next I put them though the cut out studio in Serif CraftArist - good job I had a selection as the cut out could not define the outline of the aircraft very well in most of them and kept taking chunks out of the plane - sorted with this one and put the two shots together for the flight of the silver spitfire . this now captures the the feeling of being up there and the sky is the limit and you are free as a bird - the pilots of the day often say " You do not get into a Spitfire , you just strap it on !! "
And the Silver Spitfire in 2019 is a story on it's own , please check out the story in the link ---------------

And in this vein of up there in the skies with the Merlin singing it's song , this tune should should be heard on the airwaves !!

Different doors are opened by these keys of mine. But only one opens the door that has no entrance, no exit.
Can be worn on the wrist, or easy to find in purse, pocket, etc. Use to hold a spare key as shown here.

"Unicorns are mythical creatures that typically resemble a horse with a long, straight horn on it's head. In western culture they're
traditionally completely white, but in recent years they're often
embellished with a rainbow-coloured mane and tail, as well as a variety of other colours."
MACRO MONDAYS

I don't know what type of stone this is. It's highly polished, though a bit worn as I've had it for many years. The stone is approximately 2cm long. HMM!
With this week's Macro Monday challenge topic being "National", or the ostensible display of belonging to a country, the choice was just too immense...
I wanted to avoid cheese and chocolate as too obvious clichés for Switzerland. But on another hand, there was no way around the ubiquitous and so well known white cross over a red background.
So I thought: if I'm going this route, I might as well go full Bling Bling in a not so subtle display of the national colors, right?
This keyring matched my expectations hundredfold.
