I love seeing folks enjoying the outdoors, wildlife, sand, water, elements we are fortunate to have in our own back yard!! Sea gulls always pose for 'food'! ha
No idea what that creature is. It might be a half-cupid/half-devil, or it might be a teddy bear. I was taking this picture without her knowledge, so I didn't bother to ask.

This was the tiniest bird on the beach amongst the huge mixed flock.....somewhat confusing as the beak is usually orange at the base, but further reading stated that in juveniles the bill is all dark. They have shorter legs than most other plovers, but still skittered along the sand at a very rapid pace. You can contrast it with the Semipalmated Plover that follows.
