The King and Queen of Hearts and the hookah-smoking Caterpillar, sculpted in plastilina clay on an aluminum armature by Imagineers Peter Kermode and Adolfo Procopio for the 1984 enhancement of "Alice in Wonderland."

This Kermodei bear is hibernating a few hundred metres from our neighbours' house under an old tree stump. He's awake enough to track you with his eyes, but he doesn't even move around at all, he's so sleepy. We were very quiet and went in one at a time to take photos.

Actor Brian Cox was a guest on the Simon Mayo programme on 15 June 2007.

This fellow has been delighting local photographers for about a week. He's not nearly as shy as most Kermode, and will remain in his spot, grazing, while people stop and watch. (These pics were with a long lens- he wasn't that close)

Mark Kermode played double-bass for a skiffle/rockabilly band called The Railtown Bottlers in the early 1990s. The Railtown Bottlers were also the house band on the BBC show Danny Baker After All for a series in 1993. He currently plays bass in skiffle quartet The Dodge Brothers.

Mark is an English film critic, musician and a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. He contributes to Sight and Sound magazine, The Observer newspaper and BBC Radio 5 Live, where he presents Kermode and Mayo's Film Reviews with Simon Mayo on Friday afternoons. He also co-presents the BBC Two arts programme The Culture Show and discusses other branches of the arts for the BBC Two programme Newsnight Review. Kermode writes and presents a film-related video blog for the BBC.
