Statue of 3.70 m and 13 t in grey-blue granite of Louvigné-du-Désert (granite of speckled aspect and grey-blueish color). Paragenesis: grey quartz, white feldspar and black mica). Sainte Thumette (Tunvez in Breton) is oriented south-west towards Kérity of which it is the protector. With her hair in the wind, her dress decorated with the traditional motifs of the Bigouden costume (circles and peacock feathers), she holds a boat in her left hand, symbol of her protection over the sailors, and a pebble that reminds the one she threw to the site of the church of Kérity. Its base bears the inscription "Diwall a ran Keriti" (I protect Kerity).

Keritis bridge, now, unfortunately, half-fallen due to extreme rainfalls, still remains one of the historical must-see visits when you are next in Crete!

The bridge was built in 1908, but it collapsed on February 25, 2019, during a heavy storm. Near this bridge the Germans executed 118 men on 1 August 1941 for resisting the German occupation of Crete.
The collapse was captured on film: youtu.be/TkVpPEa-Eb4
