Keep Calm and Carry On is a motivational poster produced by the British government in 1939, several months before the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the aftermath of widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities.
One of many sidewalk chalk messages in my Claremont, California neighborhood encouraging love, kindness and hand-washing during these difficult days.

This is a shot I had tried with my Canon 5D Mark II with a Zeiss 50mm f1.4 lens. I thought it would look better on film so I shot this one with my Leica M6 and a Zeiss 50mm f2. You can't beat the look of film :)

Help me explore the concept of online quid pro quo. You get great visual content and I get extra credit in my emerging media class. Or at least that's the cunning plan...
Also, if you have an idea for a custom graphic you need for your own blog or website, please share with me at mkhmktg@yahoo.com. I'll give it my best shot to create something for you.
Some more severely underexposed New Portra 400 taken on the Hasselblad 500C. These images came the day following the FPP recording, when Lauren and I met up with Antonio Alvarez at the Impossible Project NYC Space and took an evening romp around Soho.

Oh God, i'm sick of sleeping alone,
you're salty like a summer day,
kiss the pain away to your radio.
Here's a new poster straight off the press. This poster was inspired by the classic WWII British propaganda poster 'Keep Calm And Carry On'. Hand silkscreened, 2 colors on French Black Muscletone and Curious Red Skin paper. Embossed and numbered. Available in my Etsy shop.
A limited number of 7 of the black posters and 12 of the red have been shot at the rifle range with a WASR 10/63. The remaining ones were not shot.
"You have joined the ranks to protect the country against the zombie horde. Top brass has depended on you time after time, and your unit 'the Headhunters' are the highest decorated unit– hands down. Hang this battle damaged piece of history and be proud of your service in the Zombie Corps."
