Leon does an eddy turn. Best picture I got of the top of this eddy. If you went into it close enough the rock, and angled far enough up into the current, you could actually surf right there for a minute & then cross right back into the eddy without turning around. I did pull that off once or twice. The cool thing about working the same eddy again and again and again was that I could totally see the increase I had in control over the course of the day - at first, it was just about getting out of the eddy & into the current without getting capsized. By the end of the day, you have so much more control. The second day, that's emphasized when you play a game where you partner off, you plan your eddy peelout & crossing to the eddy across the way, then you do it, then your partner does it. Quite cool.
