This carousel was part of the Toulouse Christmas markets, but I found that carousels were common in Christmas markets in England as well. The sun had set but the lights lit nearly the whole square, and I it was the first time I'd seen a two level carousel.

Kate wanted Pona to play, but he was hiding under the bed. A few howls from Kate seemed to shake him out of his funk. You might have to turn up your sound to hear her, since she's on the other side of the house.
Kate is my latest crush at the adoption center. She's a dainty, petite little 7 month old girl who highly resembles her sister Ziva who was adopted about a month before Kate was ready. When Kate came to the center, she was bug-eyed and scared to pieces... but the huddle-into-you kind of scared. It's been two weeks now and oh the difference.
Kate is still nervous, but not nearly as much. The key thing is that she really wants to have a human in with her. She'd be hunkered down, but when I get into the pen with her and put her on my lap, she relaxes. She starts in a ball and then she stretches out more and more, peeking up at me with her big owl eyes. Eventually she got so cozy in my lap that she completely flipped upside down. I didn't have my camera with me at that point, so no photos.
When I finally had to rearrange my sitting position, Kate nestled in between my legs instead. Loud noises still startle her, and she did NOT like it when I got up, but she's doing so much better and she is such a love. She was relaxed enough to play when she was put back in her enclosure.
