Die Bucht von Kamari erfreut sich nicht nur bei Strandliebhabern, Erholungssuchenden, Sonnenanbetern und Badenixen großer Beliebtheit, sondern auch Surfer haben das Revier für sich entdeckt. Durch den zumeist ablandigen, regelmäßigen Wind gibt es hier sowohl für Könner als auch für Anfänger gute Bedingungen.
Kamari ist vom Massentourismus bisher zum Glück verschont geblieben und besitzt noch immer einen beschaulichen Charme.

Östlich von Kamari finden sich die wohl herrlichsten Strände auf der griechischen Insel Kos. Karibikgleich, wie goldene Perlen auf einer Schnur aneinanderreiht präsentieren sie sich mit den sehr passenden Namen wie Paradise oder Sunny Beach.
