Yami Gautam Bollywood is one of the decent Indian actress and models who is currently busy with films in Bollywood. She has done decent movies in her career and is known for her stupendous performances for the assigned roles. Yami Gautam was a bright student in college and she aspired to become an IAS Officer (Indian Administrative Services). But when Yami Gautam reached her 20s she wanted to turn model and then an actress for which her parents supported her.
After she wanted to become an actress, she left her studies and Yami Gautam is now doing her part time graduation from Mumbai University. Yami Gautam loves reading and listening to music, interior decorations are her hobbies. Ullasa Utsaha, Ek Noor, Nuvvila, Vicky Donor, Hero, Gouravam, Yuddham, Total Siyappa, Action Jackson, Badlapur, Courier Boy Kalyan and Sanam Re are her movies done till date. Her films Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, Junooniyat and Kaabil are currently under shoot and will be out soon. The most surprising is that she balanced her career in Bollywood as well as with her South Indian movies.
Yami Gautam did several South Indian films and most of them failed to impress the audience. She has done films that had scope for performance and she has done decent movies which means she has never been seen in glamorous roles. She said no strictly for intimate scenes during her initial days of her career but she has done some of them later as she fell short of offers and as she received tough competition from many new upcoming young and new heroines along with established actresses.
Yami Gautam made her debut in Kannada film Ullasa Utsaha and the movie bombed at the box-office. However Yami Gautam received wide response from the audience all over and she moved to Mumbai to make it big in Bollywood. She made her debut initially on television with Chand Ke Paar Chalo after which she has done one more serial Aaryyan. Yami Gautam has also been seen in Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam which was one of the most famous serials on Colors. She also participated in the reality show Meethi Choori No 1 and Kitchen Champion Season 1.
It was Vicky Donor which brought her wide recognition as an actress and the movie ended up as a massive hit all over. Ayushmann Khuara and Yami Gautam played the lead roles in the movie which was a smashing hit all over. Yami Gautam received wide response for her performance and the actress wanted to do decent roles. After a series of flops, it was Badlapur which brought her good response as an actress though she had limited screen presence. REVEALED: Maryam Zakaria to feature in an item song in Kapil Sharma-starrer Firangi
The trend of item songs had died down a year ago. But now it seems that the trend has returned with resurgence. Urvashi Rautela’s item number, ‘Haseeno Ka Deewana’ in Kaabil, was appreciated. Sunny Leone rocked the show with the song ‘Laila’ in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees. She will also be seen in two more item songs, ‘Piya More’ from Milan Luthria’s action film Baadshaho and Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi in ‘Trippy Trippy’.
And now it has come to light that the beautiful Maryam Zakaria will feature in an item song in Firangi, funny man Kapil Sharma’s second film. The actress confirmed that she’s doing the song and also added that the track will be classical. She assured that the item song has an important part in the narrative and not just added to increase the film’s hype. Maryam Zakaraia also revealed that Kapil Sharma himself will be a part of the song.
Maryam Zakaria is from Sweden where she started the first school to teach Bollywood-style dance. After moving to India in 2009, she initially found work down South. She bagged an item song in Tamil film Nagaram after director Sundar C saw her dance number on YouTube. But it was her second item number in the film 100% Love that got her prominence. She then went on to play one of the female lead characters in another Telugu film Madatha Kaja. In Bollywood, her big breakthrough was the song ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’ in Saif Ali Khan-starrer Agent Vinod. It released in 2012 and the same year, she was seen in the hit song ‘Aa Re Pritam Pyaare’ in Akshay Kumar-starrer Rowdy Rathore. In 2013, she was loved for her song ‘Nagin Dance’ in Bajatey Raho. The same year, she appeared in the sex comedy Great Grand Masti, as Aftab Shivdasani’s girlfriend.

What should Shah Rukh Khan do to bounce back Trade experts and distributors speak
Shah Rukh Khan’s recent film Jab Harry Met Sejal has proved to be a big disaster at the box office. Since the past two years, Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t having a great run. Yet, his films were having respectable figures at the box office. Dilwale and Raees underperformed but managed to go beyond 130-crore-mark. Fan failed to cross 100-crore-mark but it was argued it was not a typical entertainer. With Jab Harry Met Sejal, all excuses dried up as it was a romantic film starring a prominent actress, Anushka Sharma, as his co-star and replete with foot-tapping songs. Yet, it failed to excite audiences.
So now what should be the next step of Shah Rukh Khan to get back in the top league? Harveen Singh, distributor from Rajasthan, said, “Shah Rukh Khan should play roles that suit his age.” Another leading distributor Rajesh Thadani also had the same views. He said, “He should choose the right kind of roles. He can’t be romancing younger heroines at this age. He should gravitate towards mature, content-driven roles.”
Trade analyst Atul Mohan feels action can work for him. He implied, “He should do more action roles and films like Don. Don 3 is a great idea. His role in Raees was also interesting but the film suffered due to clash with Kaabil. Not just action but even what he did in Dear Zindagi was impressive. Chak De India was highly inspiring.” He added, “There can be some elements of romance as well. Or maybe Karan Johar can perhaps come up with good romantic film for him. Even doing a sci-fi won’t be wrong, provided the script is first-rate. Ra.One, I feel, came a bit too early.” But he had an important piece of advice here, “Whatever he does, it should be one level up.” Rajesh Thadani also emphasized for films that have a bigger appeal. “The narration can’t be abstract that would limit the audiences,” he said. Another reputed trade analyst Amod Mehra was more critical about Shah Rukh Khan’s choice of directors. He said, “He is doing silly films. Signing Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty’s films sounded the death knell for him.”
Both Atul Mohan and Amod Mehra admitted that Shah Rukh Khan can take a leaf out of Aamir Khan’s choice of films. Atul Mohan said, “Gradually, he should plan to go the Amitabh Bachchan way. Even at this age, Big B is playing prominent roles and getting appreciation. Also, what Aamir Khan did in Dangal is something that Shah Rukh Khan should take note of. At the same time, once in a while, he can also do an action film. In short, he should plan his moves for the next five years.” Amod Mehra gave an in-depth analysis to justify why Aamir Khan can serve as a good source of inspiration. He explained, “Aamir Khan is not doing the typical hero roles. He’s doing character-based roles and his track record is impeccable. Look at his recent films. He played an alien in PK; in Dhoom 3, he was the anti-hero and also had a double role. In Dangal, he played a father to four girls and he was not even there in the climax. In 3 Idiots, he was one of the three heroes. Shah Rukh Khan should follow Aamir Khan’s path. He should not try to be young. He should play Shah Rukh Khan the actor and not Shah Rukh Khan the hero”
Shah Rukh Khan’s next film is with Aanand L Rai in which he plays a dwarf. Again, it’s an unconventional film and it remains to be seen if it works for the superstar. Harveen Singh said, “That particular film seems interesting. Working with a hit director is always a safer bet. He needs a good director and a good script” Amod Mehra however is unsure. He opined, “Doing Aanand L Rai’s film is a gamble – it may or not work. But at least, he has something interesting lined up.”
Self-acclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan’s advice for Shah Rukh Khan shocked us all. He matter-of-factly said, “Shah Rukh Khan should now retire and sit at home. He should launch his son Aryan. Maybe he can play his father’s role in his film” And what are his views on Aanand L Rai’s film? “He should shelve that film,” he signed off!
