A trip back in time to 2005. This is a photo of my dad at the riding area where I learned to dirt bike. The cool thing is my dad still has his XR650R, and I still have the camera! The 650R is still to this day my favorite dirt bike I've ridden, just slightly edging out the KX500 and KTM450 I used to ride. On another note, these were converted manually in Affinity Photo. My hunch about making some presets was right. I can do these almost as fast as I could using NLP in Lightroom. I think I'm about to say goodbye to Adobe!

When I was hunting for the waterfall photo I posted yesterday, I came across this one of my KX 500. I really miss that bike. Had to sell it in order to pay some doctors bills and haven't been able to afford to get a bike again since. That bike was just so much fun, though. Tons of power that you could summon with the twist of a wrist, haha.

This location was also always my favorite place to go riding. I've never been somewhere else with as many different and fun terrain features.

Scan of the back side of the sales brochure for the 1990 Kawasaki KX500 dirt bike. I still don't know what people were thinking back then when they made all the day-glo pink graphics! Also, is it me, or does that 19" rear look kind of odd on a 500? I think the later model KX500 would have looked better with an 18" rear wheel.
