Nach längerer Zeit ging mir am 17. Juli 2021 mal wieder ein netter Bauzug ins Netz als ich für die ersten Stunden des Tages auf dem Erdwall in Schwanheide auf Züge in Richtung Osten gewartet habe. Die obige Spitzke V100 hatte die Aufgabe ein paar MFS-Wagen von Husum zum heimatlichen SLG-Stützpunkt nach Großbeeren zu bringen. Ich habe mich sehr über die blaue V100-SP-003 gefreut, denn von dieser Modernisierungsvariante der V100-Ost habe ich bisher nicht so viele Bilder in meiner Sammlung. Diese Lokomotive wurde nämlich nicht wie so viele Schwesterloks in Stendal zur Baureihe 203, sondern bei ADtranz (ABB Daimler Benz Transportation) gemäß dem Umbaukonzept BR 293 zur modernisiert. Insgesamt wurde zwischen 1995-2002 nur 59 Loks umgebaut. Die Modernisierung umfasste unter anderem die Aufarbeitung von den Lokrahmen, Vorbauten, Führerhäusern und den Strömungsgetrieben. Der alte KVD Motor aus Ostproduktion wurde gegen einen moderneren Caterpillar oder MTU Motor ausgetauscht, die Druckluftanlage wurde erneuert, ebenso die elektrische Steuerung. Die Kühlanlage wurde auf hydraulischen Antrieb umgebaut. Von den insgesamt 59 modernisierten Loks wurden für 21 Loks neue Betriebsbücher angelegt, da sich die Herkunft der Basisloks bzw. von deren Lokrahmen nicht mehr klären lässt. Deshalb erhielten diese Loks auch neue Fabriknummern von ADtrans oder die letztgebauten Loks von Bombardier. Die obige Spitzke V100-SP-003 ist aus der ehemaligen 202 677-1 der Deutschen Bahn entstanden und war eine Zeit lang in den Niederlanden im Einsatz. Deswegen hat die Diesellok auch Mitte der 2000er Jahre ein NL-Latz auf der Front bekommen. Nachdem ich die Ostlok erfolgreich abgelichtet hatte und die nächste Stunde nicht mehr wirklich etwas Gescheites vorbeigefahren war, ging es ein Stück weiter die Strecke entlang in Richtung Osten nach Dersenow. Dort beschäftigte ich mich den Rest des Tages mit diversen Varianten der Fotostelle auf und um die Feldwegbrücke....

I remember being on an industrial estate in Debden, Essex many moons ago, and this pretty little Bristol LH coach (with an A series Ford Cargo and Daf 2300 for company) stood out a mile....can't imagine why !
Don't remember if it was still in use or had issues.
Be interesting to know who it's original owner was, couldn't have been that many pink coach operators around, I would very much doubt that it's still with us today.

Following an enforced week away from posting by a fault on our land-line, which also took out my ability to connect my computer gubbins to the interweb, I'm back again! That break gave me more opportunity than was good for me to undertake some digital colouring. Several of the items treated aren't my own copyright, so best if I don't share them here. However, I've had a go at a few of my older ones like the accompanying shot back from the days when I could barely afford photography, let alone colour.
This one shows Stonier of Goldenhill's ex Hutchison of Overtown AEC Reliance '470 / Willowbrook, KVD 15E. Whilst the original isn't perfectly sharp, it is one of my better ones from circa 1977 and I think it has responded quite well to colourisation.
'KVD' was the penultimate Stoniers bus which had seen service with the famed Scottish independent, and it served Stonier's reasonably well. Its small engine was a bit of a false economy as it had to be worked hard in the hilly terrain of North Staffordshire. That said, I recall it climbing the notorious Lime Kilm Bank east of Hanley one Saturday with 96 passengers aboard!
The photo was taken alongside the garage on High Street, Goldenhill were coincidentally, I started work 44 years ago today.

KVD, a well known Pro BASS fishermans vehicle found in the parking lot at the Rez near Jackson, MS. He placed 2nd place in the tournament at the Rez in 2017.
