Kurt Cobain has always been a hero of mine, a great guitarest, not the best role model but still a hero of the 90's loved by millions, and like most artists became bigger than ever after they died.
This is a 20inch model I have of Kurt Cobain, 10 years after he died they found a few hundred of these in a warehouse that they never knew existed, then sold them off, I was lucky enough to get one along with my other Nirvana merchandise.
Photoshopped the Nirvana 20th in and Kurt Cobain autograph. It's nice to pay homage to our heros, and I have done so.

This abstract was created by collating and then distorting several of my own abstracts and textures in Photoshop Elements 13.
Made another trip to the Kurt Cobain area. I hadn't been there in 3 years. It has been a good three years for this spot. They have cleaned it up a little, put in a couple signs and made it into what it should be. I saw a couple graffiti marks of people in the UK and east coast. Of course their was some junk writter also. Crazy Christians and haters. We wiped off what they wrote because they did it in chalk instead of paint or markers like 'everyone' else. The bridge isn't in good condition. Kind of scary being under it. I'm sure 35 years ago it was in a little bit better condition.
Also, I didn't travel to Aberdeen, Wa just for this. My grandma and relatives live in this town. I have traveled over this bridge a million times. My grandpa lived on the hill that this is at the base off. So after checkin out a grandpa and grandma at the cemetary on the way back we stopped and checked it out. My mom hasn't seen it before, well, since Kurt. She lived a few blocks away and a couple houses away from him when he was a kid. I'm sure she never hid under the bridge to get away. She was more of an adult when he was a kid.
We got a sense of a relaxed atmosphere as we were greeted and asked for our reservations. Visiting the Open World exhibit is free, but you must make a reservation online before showing up.
My daughter visited in December or 2021, but it runs until February 21st (if you happen to be in the OKC area)

It was very interesting to see a Kurt Cobain look-alike at the Siren Festival but it was more interesting to find a Nirvana fan right behind him.
