„Schlüssel gegen das Vergessen – Servitengasse 1938“

Einen vom „Verein Servitengasse 1938“ gemeinsam mit der Universität für angewandte Kunst eingerichteten Wettbewerb gewann Julia Schulz mit ihrem Konzept Schlüssel gegen das Vergessen. Das Gedenksymbol ist eine im Boden eingelassene Vitrine, deren Inneres – gleich einer Ausgrabung – unter dem Bodenniveau der Servitengasse liegt. Darin befinden sich 462 Schlüssel mit Namensschildern der jüdischen Menschen, die vor 1938 in dieser Gasse gewohnt haben. Die Schlüssel wurden von den jetzigen Bewohnern der Servitengasse zur Verfügung gestellt.[6]
"Der Hund repräsentiert dabei die dunkle Vergangenheit. Die Jugend sollte nach Hitlers Ideal schließlich "flink wie Windhunde" sein. Die Goldfische im Aquarium stehen für die Zukunft und das Haus des Meeres. Vergangenheit und Zukunft leben hier nebeneinander in der Nachbarschaft von Mariahilf."

Vor 1938 gab es in Wien fast einhundert Synagogen und Bethäuser, von denen heute jede Spur verwischt ist. Sie alle wurden, mit Ausnahme des Stadttempels, von den Nazis zerstört. 80 Jahre später soll ein einheitliches, andauerndes Zeichen zur Erinnerung an das sogenannte Novemberpogrom angebracht werden, welches im November 2018 erstmals leuchten und ab diesem Zeitpunkt permanent und unübersehbar an die Geschehnisse 1938 erinnern soll. Die Skulpturen in Form eines ca. 5 Meter hohen Metallmastes tragen einen ineinander verflochtenen leuchtenden Davidstern. Die Intention des Künstlers Lukas Maria Kaufmann ist es, die BetrachterInnen bzw. PassantInnen zu TeilnehmerInnen in einer Wahrnehmungschoreographie zu machen.

Temat till ära gick jag till Storkyrkan idag. Tänkte att där finns säkert nån schysst kör att ta nån liten bild på. Döm av min förvåning när mässans tema var "sjung med". Alltså, ingen kör skulle vara med. Hela sjungandet skulle vi besökare få stå för. Så det fick bli en bild på psalmboken istället. Utan den skulle det ju faktiskt bli väldigt mycket mindre körande. Inte minst i juletider.

LR-2875 - Well the mood reflected the weather yesterday, overcast and dull with some rain, there was a promise of sunshine and blue sky's, so far this morning it's true.
Went for lunch at Quarr Abbey pronounced Kor Abbey and took this second attempt at this angle as last time a bunch of school kids started to walk in the frame, funny thing was the teacher/guardian had a paddy at me for taken photographs of his group. Em as I explained to him, I was here before you and had setup the shot well before the children under your care got into the frame. To which he replied You need to delete the photo, I want to check you camera for any other pictures of these kids. Reply was, as I stated they walked into my frame under your control, which doesn't seem to be very good, I would suggest sir you ask those children nicely to stop breaking the pig enclosures, before I report you for vandalising property. At which point he tutted then went over and spoke to the offenders.
Personally I think the world has gone mad!
NB: The European Daisy (Bellis perennis) is still used in homeopathy for wounds and after certain surgical procedures.
