This poster was a teaser poster released before the release of the now-famous comic book Kingdom Come. It takes place in the future and the look of the heroes has changed. When this first came out with the first exposure of Alex Ross's realistic watercolours to the masses, it heralded a new chapter and changed the direction of comics.
I saw it in Golden Age back in like 1996 or something for 10 dollars but left it until 'next week'. It was gone when I went back.
I finally got an art dealer in Los Angeles to track a copy down for me two years ago.
I went to get it framed a couple of weeks ago at Time Frame on Robson and Seymour and they did a fantastic job.
It's end of a long, long, search. I love it.

Another legend in
our midst -
Barry Goldberg - pictured here
at our friend Nurit Wilde's photo exhibit - is a famous member of the
great Chicago blues mafia -
along with his pal Mike Bloomfield -
they did the Two Jews Blues album
together - and he's played
with everyone but especially
Bob Dylan - who even produced
Barry's album -
He was leaving the exhibit,
and said goodbye to my pal
Noah Stone, and I asked him who
that guy was, and Noah answered
as if I would have no idea
who he was or care even if I did,
but when he told me
I said, "Barry Goldberg?" and ran
after him with my camera,
slightly surprising him I think
but he kindly let me
take this.

Two days in time
Seems like she's mine
Now i'm addicted to
Something inside
All of her charms
Wrapped in my arms
I never knew, I never knew
I'd see so much and yet be
Blind
The storm's coming slow
She'll love me and go
She's just like a wild rose
Electric touch
Almost too much
In between love and pain
Passionate flames
Never forget
Ain't finished yet
I never knew, I never knew
That I could feel so strong
Inside
The storm's coming slow
She'll love me and go
She's just like a wild rose
Walking on clouds
Don't want to come down
Ain't leaving town
While she's still around
The storm's coming slow
She'll love me and go
She's just like a wild rose
