What's up everyone! Hope all of you guys are doing well out there. Decided to switch it up today and go back to an aerial view of Iceland's interior/highlands. This area looked incredible from the air! I would love to go back and photograph this area again. So many possibilities there. The rugged landscape and peaks looked like something from a movie,

An old shot for Tuesday Archives. :-) This was with the old shutter -- that's how old it is!
So glad it's tuesday because I really haven't got anything new. :-/
37901 Mirlees Pioneer was the working of the day on this bright Tuesday morning captured here at Willington heading 6E25 08:48 Crewe Gresty Green Up Loop to Attercliffe Sidings with a rake of JHA wagons destined for a date with the cutters torch.
I've added this purely because it is my first ever phone shot. I recently got an adaptation for my i phone that once attached, makes it easier for me to hold. I am now disabled and holding certain things is problematical. It has a camera style shutter release, which I can use 'obviously'.
Sadly I cannot shoot raw, so this image has been processed twice. A.I. and by me in Lightroom classic. Close up it looks ghastly. I dislike jpegs. yuk

The Roaches is a prominent rocky ridge above Leek and Tittesworth Reservoir in the Peak District of England in Staffordshire.
I did a few images around the Roaches on Monday morning. We haven't had much of a winter yet in the UK, best I can do is a bit of frost on some rocks!
On another note, I see Flickr's new owners (SmugMug) are slowly turning the screw and demanding more and more money for a subscription. After yet another price increase email yesterday - I cancelled my subscription, which is a shame as I have been on Flickr since 2008. So, when my current subscription runs out, it runs out!

Walking through the New Forest I came across a section where the loggers had cleared a large area. All trees were taken except this one. This is a slightly gone wrong tree, it's not upright tall and straight like other trees of the same type, but is small, deformed and looking a bit sad with itself. It's all alone with the nearest tree way over the back. I really felt for this lonely tree
We should have been returning to Dublin from the Kingdom (of Kerry) today but COVID19 put paid to our plans for a trip to the Dingle peninsula after Christmas. So let me post some photos from the Kingdom from a few years back.
This is An Tiaracht or Tearacht Island, the most westerly of the Blasket Islands. In 1881, 13 people lived on the island after a lighthouse had been built there. Today, An Tiaracht is uninhabited.
"An Tiaracht is about a kilometre from east to west, and 500 metres from north to south. The island is divided into two sections, a larger eastern part (200 metres high) and a western part that rises to 116 metres. A narrow neck of rock, with a natural tunnel through it, joins the two parts."
