Bullfinch - Pyrrhula Pyrrhula (F)
The Eurasian bullfinch, common bullfinch or bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula) is a small passerine bird in the finch family, Fringillidae. In Anglophone Europe it is known simply as bullfinch, as it is the original bird to bear the name bullfinch.
The bullfinch is a bulky bull-headed bird. The upper parts are grey; the flight feathers and short thick bill are black; as are the cap and face in adults (they are greyish-brown in juveniles), and the white rump and wing bars are striking in flight. The adult male has red underparts, but females and young birds have grey-buff underparts. It moults between July and October, but males do not have the duller autumn plumage that is typical of some other finches. The song of this unobtrusive bird contains fluted whistles, and is often described as 'mournful'.
This bird breeds across Europe and temperate Asia. It is mainly resident, but many northern birds migrate further south in the winter. Mixed woodland with some conifers is favoured for breeding, including parkland and gardens.
This species does not form large flocks outside the breeding season, and is usually seen as a pair or family group.
The food is mainly seeds and buds of fruit trees, which can make it a pest in orchards: in England for centuries every parish paid a bounty for every bullfinch killed. Ash and hawthorn are favoured in autumn and early winter. If wild bird cover is planted for it, kale, quinoa and millet are preferred, next to tall hedges or woodland.

It is suspected that this species is currently undergoing an extremely rapid population reduction owing to indiscriminate poisoning, trade for traditional medicine, hunting for food, persecution and electrocution, as well as habitat loss and degradation.
Wildlife poachers sometimes poison vultures because their presence in the skies near animal corpses can alert rangers to their illegal activities.
Because many species of vultures are social, vultures are highly affected by poisoning.
Over a hundred birds can be killed at just one poisoned carcass.
Vultures are the ultimate recyclers. They can strip a carcass in just a few hours.
They keep our environment clean and disease-free.

Another predation image folks, this one I have never seen before, I see Vulture road kill but never anything feeding on them, and never have I seen another Vulture feeding on it's own species, so for me this was a little unusual to say the least.
I do not like posting these images but it's all apart of mature and what In see out in the field, if it offends I'm sorry.

Many of the forests in Colorado's northern frontier have been decimated by Mountain Pine Beetles that burrow into the pine trees. Warmer temperatures have allowed the beetles to flourish. In the year of 2020, Colorado had experienced it's 3 largest forest fires in modern, recorded history. Warmer temperatures, lack of precipitation, strong winds, questionable forest management, and beetle kill forests are mostly to blame for their explosive nature.
hello my friends,just trying to come back after a long and complicate period...
here a beautiful cheetah female (acinonyx jubatus) feeding on a prey.
in some areas like this cheetah females do not hunt usually in open areas as they could be harassed from
cheetah male gangs.so these females are used to hunt ambushing their prey like this cudu female.
a strange behaviour but quite normal for this animal that we think can hunt just in open areas.
of course they do it where the pressure of lions and leopard isnt so big.
