Today I was trying to get my 365 done and as usual, Jaymi was butting into the picture. I let her do it this time - I kind of like how it turned out :)

The Pelican hard case for the new camera ("Heath") comes with adjustable foam: tear out sections of foam to fit your equipment. Jesara delighted in pulling off the little strips from the spare blocks of foam. Then she discovered that they are good to put between toes. Maybe she was preparing for a pedicure?
Little kids playing under the sprinkler @ la playa!! If you look at children at play, you remember what its like to be filled with wonder...and sometimes, you can recapture that feeling....photography to me is this feeling, a nostalgia, a memory of when smiles were easy, and laughter common...
Sorry, I'm busy with my little princess! High fever and coughing terrible!
When she's asleep, she is having little shocks caused by the fever! When she wakes up, she's almost in panic!

Sorry, Manon is ziek. Ze heeft hoge koorts en hoest verschrikkelijk. Als ze slaapt gaan er van die schokken door haar lijfje van de koorts. Als ze wakker wordt is ze bijna in paniek!

I went for my long exposure shot in Istanbul. Didn't get a decent one, so I was wandering around with my 40mm looking for a good scene. And there it was. Balloon making for the kids. Giving me the sunlight in the back, the colors, the kids, the dock and perspective, part of the ship and a bit of cityscape, and most important the expressions and movement. Who could ask for more? Cruise ship terminal, Istanbul, Turkey. Btw.. the next moment the kid managed to step on a balloon and burst it :)
I've just realised this photo appears on Explore page on 10-Feb-2011 at rank #18. It's a chinese new year surprise for me...

My neice Leah, who, it turns out, loves bubbles! She just wouldn't stop, so I grabbed my camera! Can you believe Fotolia (the stock photo site) didn't want this? Gits.
Last Thursday we attended the Edmonton Street Performer's Festival. It was extremely hot and there were so many kids playing in the fountain. They must have been an organized group as they all had these yellow T-shirts.
This little guy caught my eye. So was so *cool* with his backwards glasses.
