HMM theme - Lockdown Song
Memories made in the coldest winter by Kanya West. I'm not a fan of his but I love this track.
De Electrische Museumtramlijn Amsterdam reed van 27 tot 30 december na twee jaar afwezigheid ten gevolge van corona weer de traditonele stadsritten tussen kerst en oud en nieuw. Doordat de ritten tot 17.00u zijn kunnen de trams ook in de schemering bewonderd worden. Toen het gisteren, vrijdag de 30e, ook nog regende leek het me een aardig moment om te proberen het maximale uit de camera te halen. Weinig licht, een rijdende tram, een immer grote winkelende mensenmassa en zelf maar weinig zien door natte beslagen brillenglazen is natuurlijk het perfecte moment om te gaan fotograferen haha.
Doel was om een van de trams komend uit de Reguliersbreestraat te fotograferen bekend van Tuschinski. Aardig detail is dat de 465 hier op de foto gebouwd werd in 1929 en daarmee slechts luttele jaren scheelt met de in 1934 opgeleverde Cineac bioscoop van architect Johannes Duiker waarvan de gigantische lichtreclame goed te zien is.
Staand midden op de zebra over het Muntplein om in ieder geval een deel van het kruisend verkeer uit te sluiten lukte het niet om de tram geheel zonder mensen te fotograferen. Maar ach, dat hoort misschien ook wel bij fotograferen in de stad. En he, is de man in het midden niet de in 2022 in opspraak geraakte popster Kanye West?
Enfin, fijne jaarwisseling voor nu & dat iedereen maar veel mooie foto's mag maken in 2023!

EMA, short for Electrische Museumtramlijn Amsterdam, had it's yearly cityrides in downtown Amsterdam from the 27th to the 30th of December. Running until 5PM it made for an excellent opportunity to photograph old trams during blue hour.
On Friday the 30th of December tram 465 plus it's sidecar 731 can be seen when coming from the Reguliersbreestraat heading for the very crowded Muntplein

During a trip to Mexico, the Yahoo gang went over to the Pyramid Of The Sun, the third largest pyramid in the world. The slope of the stairs along the giant monument is exactly 45 degrees - Total height = 233.5 feet while total steps = 235. Now that's called engineering!
Funny thing is, while returning back, the radio started playing 'Jump' from Van Halen. And then a week later, I saw Kanye West perform 'Touch The Sky'
