Kai Kai is a dream to photograph. He seldom just sits around or lies down lazily. Instead, he walks around his enclosure quite frequently, wearing his charming smile and captivating everyone. Just so easy for me to get good shots of him.
Kai was a miracle to my family. We had just lost the love of our lives a ex-racing greyhound named Cole to bone cancer when we decided to search for a cat. I young and unfortunately disabled so the empty home was very depressing for me. My mother seeing I needed help drove me everywhere trying to find the perfect match for our home. After weeks of searching I was about to give up when we found the ad for kittens needing homes at a rescue group over 2 hours drive away. She had a good feeling about it so we made the trip with many stops along the way because of my limitations. When we made it I immediately picked him up and as history will show he was never put back in that cage again. Since then he has been so much joy to our home. His arch nemesis is the refrigerator and the lights made through the carved glass door. He even plays fetch with the toy mice we buy for him. Hes grown so much in the first year we have had him that we bought a harness in hopes some day we can teach him to walk on a leash. So far he just falls over dramatically like the weight of the world was placed on his shoulders when its put on but we have faith. Hes a siamese with beautiful blue eyes so we named him Kai meaning ocean in hawaii. Kai is the perfect example of how animals can change our lives if you are willing to share it with them. They certainly give back more than they take once they have found home.
Grew these from seeds. Grew fast and harvested fast. Now waiting for 2nd planting after the Dec rainy season.
Got a pretty late start today, I woke up around 12. Not too long after that, his mom dropped off Kai to me. I had a long day with him and my KaCen ahead of me. I could not let Kai’s cuteness go to waste so out came my camera equipment! Above is what I was able to get with him!

Awsome! He is made from approximately eight recycled PET bottles! Awwww, awww, I love it!
Kai Choi Pong was born on Friday, April 17th at 8:44am after 12 hours of labor. He weighed 7lbs. 15oz. and was 21 inches long.
He was born at French Hospital, in San Luis Obispo, CA which has the most awesome staff ever!
Kai was born at Monkey World on 15/03/05 to Hsiao-Quai and Tuan. He is lucky to have been cared for by his excellent mother. His father is Tuan.
