Terrible day today. Had to get up at 5:30am, and just got home past 10pm after a series of terribleness. But my sweetie had this waiting for me when I get home. It was delicious (although pretty sweet, so we weren't able to finish it)! Sweets from a sweetie. Can't complain. :)

Sometimes after a long day you need a shower beer. And apparently Atwater Brewing agrees with me! (Nice to get feedback on instagram!)
Jetlagged out of my skull, awake sinds three in the morning, I painfully worked my way down to the restaurant for a breakfast. I shared a little of my woes with my waiter, Patric, who was very sweet and sympathetic, having recently flown from New Zealand.
This little postit came with my bill. That was just the welcome I needed!
Needless to say, I overtipped graciously.
On the morning of Day 5 of SXSW 2017 (Tuesday, March 14), I checked out a few of the happenings at Brush Square Park across the street from the Austin Convention Center. In the park's East Tent, NYU's Tisch School of the Arts hosted its Fresh Cuts Party. The event was already hopping when I arrived around 11:30am; here, cLIVE performs a slowed-down version of ''Just What I Needed'' by The Cars, with Dezi on lead vocals and Murielle and Nick Cianci singing backup...
Was a 1978 song performed by The Cars and made popular in recent years by being one of the last slogans used by Circuit City before going bankrupt in 2008.
Back when I used to work at the now defunct retailer I would sometimes take my camera and play around with a few of the employees. This one in particular is from the "warehouse" session.

Work has been killing me lately. I had to send my husband with the twins to a birthday party this weekend without me. My friend was nice enough to send him home with a little sugar. I think he wanted to have them himself (he did earn them). Mini-cupcakes have to be the best invention ever. A little kick of sugar without all the guilt.
