Some sparkly lights in the Hare & Hounds pub at Greatford. I had to up the iso after this shot, you can see the shutter speed is probably a stop too slow here, but it worked well enough.

The Christmas stuff was up on 2nd October this year which is far too early, this photo is from 22nd October which again is far too early. Christmas lights always trigger an over-the-top bokeh-festival for me.
Setting was auto-exposure -1 stop (to avoid the bokeh-highlights being blown on the digital camera), then obviously manual aperture and focus with this old lens.

Pretty much all of my lenses are manual focus, I usually don't bother with focussing tbh but with this one at f/2 focussing is very important. Focus here is on the castle in the background, throwing the fountain out of focus.
This lens did have a damaged front coating caused by the original metal lens cap sliding off in a bag and scraping across the front of the lens. I managed to find someone who could polish off the old coating and re-coat with a 1950s style single layer coat, and this has worked really well.
