Greylag gosling, one of three taken in Regents Park.

The first rose on my rose bush, bought earlier this year. The bush isn't even a real bush yet - it's only about 8 inches tall and this bloom is at least 5 inches across. It's only a rose, but it smells wonderful. Strange how small things can make us proud and happy.

Bob has been a great comfort to me since my beloved cat Billie passed away. He used to visit her & they became friends. After a short absence he has started coming again nearly every day & stops for a while for a treat & a wander round the house & garden.

My first sighting of a black stork in Bavaria. They were on the brink of disappearance, but now numbers are increasing though still at a very low level. Other then the white stork, the black stork usually stays away from settlements and nests in the deep forest. Beautiful :-)

Though calla lilies are most commonly white, they actually grow in a variety of colors including pink, purple, yellow, and even black. Calla lily’s symbolism varies by flower color.

White calla lilies symbolize purity and innocence.

Pink calla lilies symbolize appreciation and admiration.

Purple calla lilies symbolize charm and passion.

Yellow calla lilies symbolize gratitude.
