Are we alive or are we dead

Or something else instead

Between a dream and

The foot of our bed

In this liminal space

We can run or have fun

We can choose our own

Adventures

So surprised each morning when

We still wake up.

A colourful jumping/skipping rope, immediate inspiration.

I am spending a lot of time in the studio at the moment.

A photographer friend asked an interesting question today, why do YOU take photographs?

One answer for me is I love the challenge, and it still is!

Now it is with lighting, composition and making it all work together the way I want it, and still be surprised, ALWAYS thrilled.

Hope this brings a bit of joy again, have a good day and thank you for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

"Photography is a craft that is acquired over many years!"

And the camera is only the tool!

When not 'dictated' by a client, I take images that come out of my brain, the birth of the idea, the development of it, my vision and the creation, my enjoyment and the challenge, the hype and the anticipation, the struggle and disappointment of the failures, the gathering of your courage to try again... the stamina, the madness some love to call passion?

The playing with light, to me, the ultimate high, I don't need anything else. Once the image is there, I'm content, and if it 'inspires' others, releases an emotion, that's wonderful!

And I've seen how my photos have 'inspired' many!

I'm not stupid to think that everybody is going to like, let alone understand my image, but I can easily live with that, because I do not have that expectation!

I, in the first place, have to be happy with it, the quality, the composition, EVERYTHING, it has to be immaculate, I have to stand by it 100% or the outside world will NEVER see it!

That goes for my pro AND my free work (what you see here).

I wouldn't have it any other way.

I hope that you enjoyed my 'rave'?

Take care, all the best and above all... enjoy your photography.

If the day comes I don't enjoy it anymore... I'll GIVE AWAY all my gear (it's a lot, gathered over the years, please don't hold your breath, heeeee), M, (*_*)

My jumprope - a little worn out.

What is a story if not a way to explain how something makes you feel? What is a picture if not a way to say something you don't have words to say?

I had the most wonderful conversation the other day ... "Don't show me what I see, show me what I don't see", he said. And so beautifully said. Thank you for the words, Mr. G.

Some tram designs really suit advertising wraps, especially so the CAF Urbos 3 supplied to Edinburgh trams in Scotland.

I am spending a lot of time in the studio at the moment.

One answer for me is I love the challenge, and it still is!

Now it is still with lighting, reflective objects and making it all work together the way I want it, and still be surprised, ALWAYS thrilled.

A Nylon skipping rope, a prop for a Summer photo, it reminded me of when I was a little girl, then I saw THE image... and then another, and another...

How can I resist that, such superb colours, images just begging to be taken.

Take care, be safe!

THANK you for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated.

Sometimes, you don't even feel like doing the fun things...

Toby was feeling like that today when she picked up her jump rope... She's missing her Daddy and usual traveling companion (my DH), but also sad, that he is missing his Dad too.

******

My FIL passed away late this morning in Conn. DH has been gone for a week and I have been busy getting ready and making arrangements for animals and kids and all that goes along with times like this... I will be here sporadicly the next few days if at all...Just wanted to FYI, in case there are unanswered emails, FM's and the like, which I will get to as I can. Thanks everyone. xox

Why not view the set as a slide-show?

Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...
