Hi-fi Wurlitzer jukebox in a shop window in Muswell Hill. I bought many of the same singles back in the 70s and still have them.
Warren Rowe's Jukebox repair shop in El Monte. The last of a kind master who once worked for Seeburg in Chicago, knows every schematic, wire color, tube, capacitor, fastener and chrome plated part from memory. A 1955 Seeburg V200 is in the foreground, from June 25, 2003.

Doing time in the Baptist Churches on the east side of town, Victrola became the youngest member ever of the "Saint Barry Gordy" Gospel Choir at 4 1/2 years old. In the early 60's she left the church to begin her dream of becoming a lounge singer. At the "Nobody's Business Lounge", before she sang her 1st professional gig she prayed to her new found higher power, John Lennon. Sitting at the bar one night was her long lost 3rd cousin Sh-Bingo Jones. She was a regular at the N.B. Lounge and joined Victrola onstage for her Brenda Lee tribute set. Her last song sung to bar manager Bullet Belly was "I'm Sorry" as she left Nobody's Business to join the Jones family band. After a short time as a back-up singer, it was determined she was too loud to not be the lead singer. Her name was later changed to Jukebox by her 1/4 sister Teeny BB for her uncanny ability to mimic any singer alive or dead.

Opened in 1953, it remains the same--open Mother's Day to Labor Day it is a real treat--both nostagically and culinary--look at the songs on the jukebox
Have you ever heard that thing about the jukeboxes at Waffle House? That there's this certain song, and if you play it, the waitresses get SPITTING mad?
I worked in a record store and love classic rock. I know more about the Beatles than I do Coldplay (probably for the best) and vastly prefer the former to the latter.
But what is the most played song in my iTunes? Sugar, We're Going Down Swinging by (!) Fall Out Boy.
I could tell you that I haven't listened to this album in years (true!) but it only seemed right to lead with this skeleton in my iPod.
...at the Pacific Express lounge. Out of focus but still, the color you get with the Yashica.
