Today we have been sent to Coventry. Coventry Motor Museum to be precise.
Coventry Transport Museum (formerly known as the Museum of British Road Transport) is a motor museum, located in Coventry city centre. It houses a collection of British-made road transport. It is located in Coventry because the city was previously the centre of the British car industry.
This is part of their Hot Rods and Kool Kustoms display in a part of the museum that changes every 6 months or so.
This box holds a staggering 24 78 rpm records! I can't wait to get this puppy fired up and see the lights in all their glory. The Jukeboxes we currently use hold 750,000 songs.
Jukebox The Ghost premieres their new upcoming album, Safe Travels at an intimate, secret show at Rockwood Hall on May 1st, 2012. Check out Safe Travels when it comes out on June 12th!
Here is a recently acquired Wurlitzer 1015 awaiting restoration. When it is finished it will be as nice as the completed one pictured.
The Marriott Hotel on 4th Street in San Francisco has long been described as "The Jukebox" for it's interesting architecture. On a foggy morning in San Francisco I was messing around shooting many images in B&W since the day was relatively colorless anyway. The color version is shown below, but I think I actually prefer the B&W.
By the way, there's a great view from the bar behind that semicircular window on the top floor, but don't sit on the west side in late afternoon - on a sunny day you will roast !
Recycling some old vector illustrations.
The jukebox has been drawn in 2007 (2. Semester BA). At that time I used Corel Draw :)
Layout done in 2012.
Great tunes on this old jukebox found in front of an abandoned building in Kite, GA.

Sarah used one of my quarters to pick a song: "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" by The Platters. It took a while to work through the queue, but her selection did, eventually, play
We were later told by the waitress that the jukeboxes don't work. Seems the listings in the table-boxes don't match-up with the actual records in the player. You can still punch-in songs, but it's rare that what gets played is what (you think) you ordered.
Still, by marvelous coincidence, Sarah's song was one of the few that matched-up in the system.
Some day your kids will look at a photo like this and be all like "what the hell is that thing?" and you'll have to explain that it's sort of like an iPod3000 (the future's iPod) but you had to listen to it while sitting in one place, like a bar or restaurant, and everybody else there could hear the songs you picked.
And your kids will say "that's stupid."
Kids never understand.
