Blake was originally commissioned by Robert Cromek to design and engrave the illustrations to this volume but the task of engraving was soon given to Louis Schiavonetti, a popular professional engraver. Cheng Huize is a co-worker at a house church in China. She has believed in the Lord for many years, and has worked for the Lord with unwavering enthusiasm. She takes on a lot of responsibilities for the church, and she has compassion for her brothers and sisters. As her church grew more and more desolate with each passing day, the wickedness in her church were more and more frequent. The pastor energetically proposed that the church should start a factory, and led the followers down the path to wealth, and also enticed them to join the Three-Self Church so they could rely on help from the Chinese government. This caused a fierce debate to unfold. The pastor stubbornly acted in his own individual interests and did not hesitate to divide the church, leading the believers down the wrong path. Cheng Huize and a few others held fast to the way of the Lord, and fiercely opposed the church becoming a factory and joining the Three-Self Church. Although the elders at the church expressed that they were opposed to this, they only did so to protect their own status and livelihood. Even though the pastor and elders were all harboring secrets in their hearts, locked in constant strife for their own fame and profit, fighting out of envy, when they saw that most of the good sheep and leading sheep in the church had investigated the Eastern Lightning and turned to Almighty God one by one, they joined together with the Chinese government and fought to repress the Eastern Lightning, blocking the believers from coming to study the Eastern Lightning, urging the followers to report them to the police. They set an example by reporting and arresting the brothers and sisters preaching the kingdom gospel. Cheng Huize and others saw that the pastor and the elders had deviated from the Lord's way a long time ago, and the church had already lost the work of the Holy Spirit and had degenerated into a religious place like Babylon the Great, cursed and reviled by the Lord. Because of this, they decided to investigate the Eastern Lightning to search for the manifestation and work of God. After intense debates with the preachers from the Church of Almighty God, Cheng Huize and the others finally began to see clearly that the leaders of the religious world opposed God in substance, and the reason why the religious world declined, day by day drawing nearer to its destruction: The pastors and elders of the religious world, although they could explain the Bible and hold the Bible in high esteem, they only do so for status and livelihood. They are confusing and ensnaring people. They don't hold God in high regard or bear witness for Him, they don't understand God at all. In the last days, when the incarnate Almighty God does His work, they oppose Him without the slightest scruple, they condemn God's work, even to the point where they unite with the Chinese government to arrest believers. This is enough to prove that they possess a satanic nature that hates the truth and hates God. They are modern-day Pharisees, impersonating virtuous people, antichrists who deny that God becomes flesh. The religious world has already completely become a stronghold for antichrists who are enemies of God. They will absolutely meet with God's curses and punishments. Cheng Huize and others were eventually able to differentiate the antichrist nature of the leaders of the religious world, and guided the believers to break away from the confusion and control of the Pharisees, to escape without hesitation from Babylon, the city that will be overthrown….

The Kidron Valley is valley near Jerusalem which features significantly in the Bible. An ephemeral stream flows through it with occasional flash floods in the rainy winter months.
The Kidron Valley runs along the eastern wall of Jerusalem, separating the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives. It then continues east through the Judean Desert, towards the Dead Sea. The settlement Kedar, located on a ridge above the valley, is named after it. The neighbourhood of Wadi Al-Joz bears the valley's Arabic name.
The Valley is the site of many Jewish tombs, including the Pillar of Absalom, the Tomb of Bene Hezir, and the Tomb of Zechariah. At one time, the water of the Gihon Spring flowed through the valley, but it was diverted by Hezekiah's tunnel to supply water to Jerusalem.
The Bible calls the valley "Valley of Jehoshaphat - Emek Yehoshafat" (Hebrew: עמק יהושפט), meaning "The valley where God will judge." It appears in Jewish Eschatologic prophecies, which include the return of Elijah, followed by the arrival of the Messiah, and also the war of Gog and Magog and Judgment day.

Song Ruiming was a pastor of a certain church in South Korea. Over many years of his belief in the Lord, he had been pursuing fervently, spending and working for the Lord, waiting for the Lord to come and rapture him to the kingdom of heaven. However, in recent years, what laid before him was the increasingly desolate church that lost the work of the Holy Spirit: The preachers had nothing new to talk about, and believers were all weak and passive. At the crucial point of welcoming the Lord’s return, the religious world was subject to such a fierce famine. Song Ruiming felt confused and lost for this situation. However, when he gathered with the preachers of the Eastern Lightning to hear their testimony about Almighty God’s work of the last days, a religious co-worker in China betrayed them by reporting them to the police. As a result, Song Ruiming and Cui Cheng’en were captured by the CCP police and were forcibly sent back to South Korea. Back to his own country, Song Ruiming was particularly lost and distressed and he tried every possible means to contact the Church of Almighty God. It lasted until one day he came across the Korean website of the Church of Almighty God online. He then learned that the Eastern Lightning was already spread to South Korea and there was the Church of Almighty God established there. This news came as a great surprise to Song Ruiming, and he gathered the brothers and sisters in his church and took them to the Church of Almighty God for an investigation of Almighty God’s work of the last days. Through the fellowship and testimony of the preachers, Song Ruiming and his fellow believers made certain that Almighty God is the return of the Lord Jesus, and readily accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days. As such, they were raptured before God’s throne and found the path to the kingdom of heaven. His dream of the heavenly kingdom has finally come true!

"God is the Master of the rules that control the universe, He controls the rules that govern the survival of all things, and He also controls the universe and all things such that they can live together; He makes it so they do not go extinct or disappear so that mankind may continue to exist, man can live in such an environment through God’s leadership. These rules that govern all things are under the dominion of God, however, mankind cannot intervene and cannot change them; only God Himself knows these rules and only He Himself manages them. When will the trees sprout, when will it rain, how much water and how many nutrients will the earth give the plants, in what season will the leaves fall, in what season will the trees bear fruit, how much energy will the sunlight give the trees, what will the trees exhale from the energy they get from the sunlight—these are all things that God had already arranged when He created the universe and they are laws that cannot be broken by man. The things created by God—whether they are living or appear to be non-living by people—are all in God’s hands and under His dominion. No man can change or break this rule. That is to say, when God created all things He formulated how they should be. The tree could not set down roots, sprout, and grow without the earth. What would the earth be like if it had no trees? It would dry out. Isn’t this right? (Yes.) Also, the tree is the home of the songbirds, it is a place where they take shelter from the wind. Would it be OK if the tree went without sunlight? If God created something without significance, God would let it disappear. Understand? (Yes.) This is one of the methods He used in the provision of all things. What does “provide for” refer to in this story? Does God go out and water the tree every day? Does the tree need God’s help to breathe? (No.) “Provide for” in this instance refers to God’s management of all things after creation; all He needed were rules to keep things running smoothly. The tree grew all by itself by being planted in the earth. The conditions for it to grow were all created by God. He made the sunlight, the water, the soil, the air, and the surrounding environment, the wind, frost, snow, and rain, and the four seasons; these are the conditions that the tree needs in order to grow, these are things that God prepared. So, is God the source of this living environment? (Yes.) Does God have to go out every day and count each leaf on the trees? There’s no need, right? God also doesn’t have to help the tree breathe. God also doesn’t have to wake up the sunlight every day by saying, “It’s time to shine on the trees now.” He doesn’t have to do that. The sunlight shines down on its own as prescribed by the rules, it shines on the tree and the tree soaks it in. This is how things live within the rules. Perhaps this is a phenomenon you might not be familiar with, but it is a fact everyone has seen and has accepted. All you need to do is recognize that the rules for the existence of all things come from God and know that their growth and survival are under God’s dominion. This proves that God is the source for all life."

Answer: The Lord Jesus did forgive our sins. But it doesn’t mean we aren’t sinful, or we’ve broken free from the shackles of sin and become holy. The Lord Jesus has forgiven our sins. But what does “sin” mean here? We all know things like fornication and theft which are against the law, the commandments, and God’s word, all are sins. Anything that resists God, condemns God, and judges God are also sins, not to mention blasphemy against God, which is unforgivable! In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus made Himself the sin offering for mankind. Only by praying, confessing, and repenting to the Lord would people not be condemned or put to death. In other words, God no longer took them as sinners. And mankind could pray to the Lord directly and enjoy His grace due to His forgiveness. This is the real meaning of “sins are forgiven.” Although man’s sins are forgiven because of the sin offering made by the Lord Jesus, it doesn’t mean that man will no longer sin or resist God. Because man’s sinful nature still remains, he can still resist God, betray God, and make an enemy of Him. How could he be qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven? Like Almighty God’s word says, “A sinner such as you, who has just been redeemed, and has not been changed, or been perfected by God, can you be after God’s heart? For you, you who are still of your old self, it is true that you were saved by Jesus, and that you are not counted as sinners because of the salvation of God, but this does not prove that you are not sinful, and are not impure. How can you be saintly if you have not been changed? Within, you are beset by impurity, selfish and mean, yet you still wish to descend with Jesus—you should be so lucky! You have missed a step in your belief in God: you have merely been redeemed, but have not been changed. For you to be after God’s heart, God must personally do the work of changing and cleansing you; if you are only redeemed, you will be incapable of attaining sanctity. In this way you will be unqualified to share in the good blessings of God, for you have missed out a step in God’s work of managing man, which is the key step of changing and perfecting. And so you, a sinner who has just been redeemed, are incapable of directly inheriting God’s inheritance.” (from “Concerning Appellations and Identity” in The Word Appears in the Flesh) The redemptive work the Lord Jesus did was only to forgive men’s sins, but it did not resolve their corrupt disposition. Satanic dispositions like arrogance, selfishness, and craftiness still remain within them. These corrupt dispositions are something deeper and more profound than sin. They’re also the root of man’s resistance to God. If these satanic corrupt dispositions are not resolved, people will still resist God, and still judge and condemn God via their imagination and false notions. In persecution and tribulation, they’ll still deny God, and even betray Him just like Judas. If given power, they will form separate kingdoms to fight against God. Some will even steal God’s offerings and offend His disposition, and will be condemned by God and perish. Today, most pastors and leaders in the religious world do not follow the words of the Lord Jesus. They willfully misinterpret the Bible, saying that man’s words are God’s words. They exalt man’s word over those of the Lord Jesus. So the believers all worship and follow man, having no place in their hearts for the Lord, and are controlled firmly in their hands. Especially when the returned Lord Jesus does the work of judgment, these pastors and leaders not only refuse to seek or investigate, but instead condemn God’s work, judge and blaspheme God. They also fabricate rumors to deceive the believers and seal off the churches, making an enemy of God and offending His disposition. This is the biggest resistance against God. This is an unforgivable sin! Their evil deeds are far more serious than those of the Pharisees who resisted the Lord Jesus. This proves that before man’s nature of resisting God is resolved and his satanic corrupt disposition is cleansed, he can still perform any evil against God. How can such a person enter God’s kingdom? Therefore, according to His plan of managing and saving mankind and also corrupt mankind’s needs, God expresses various truths in the last days. He begins the work prophesied in the Bible that “judgment must begin at the house of God,” to solve the problem that corrupt mankind is controlled by his satanic nature.
