Journey of love over time turned into wrinkles on my forehead.
Years have passed …. How long can this feeling last ?
You are like the blue sky slipping through my fingers in the red river …. Who is the person waiting by the river.
You leave no traces … I keep searching my life for you.
Journey" is a wooden sculpture, carved from seven elm trees, by Fenwick Lawson (1999). It is located in St. Mary's Church on Holy Island. The sculpture depicts the monks of Holy Island carrying the coffin of St. Cuthbert to safety and eventual rest in Durham Cathedral, c.875 AD, when Viking raiders threatened the island. The sculpture was exhibited in Durham Cathedral for a time and proved popular. Local people raised funds for a bronze casting of Journey, and this now stands in Millennium Square, in Durham.
Amtrak’s “Pioneer” train No. 26 has reached the end of its 1081 mile journey from Seattle, Washington to Salt Lake City, Utah on the overcast morning of March 19, 1978. Originally equipped with Amfleet coaches, the Pioneer made stops in Portland, Boise, Pocatello, and Ogden among other cities along the route.

YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE – ELVIS PRESLEY
Sometimes in life we come full circle
I see a footprint of my beginning
and here I am back at the start
I see the people who tried to stop me winning
but I rise above them; and leave them far behind
I draw a line in shifting, whispering grains of sand
and something deep inside me drives me on
no looking back; I am complete; I understand
sometimes in life we cannot win them over
it's not our job; it's for a greater Hand
and He will guide me on my journey
bring me safely to the shore
where angels sing; rejoice and hold me
and I will not be frightened any more
He sees in us the pain; the human burden
He sees the weight that life and people bring
He knows how much; He knows and He is certain
He will not give us more than we can take
so that in our hearts and souls we'll always sing
and when at last our cup is brimming over
He lays his Hand upon our heads and soothes our brow
and we feel the greatest love that ever found us
and we are comforted and lighter; it is a miracle somehow
and once more we are peaceful
finding joy in simple things
as darkness; shadows and all our plights
are left behind and taken care of;
whisked away on angel's wings
and soon the lines of strain are smoothed; not furrowed
as clouds reveal the stars of wonder and ethereal light
and we begin to live at last the ever after; forget tomorrow
this moment we exist; and in this moment
I am complete; I am content right here, right now.

Little did they know. Before the train left, the conductor chased everybody away from the locomotive.

We are pilgrims on a journey,
we are trav'lers on the road.
We are here to help each other
walk the mile and bear the load.
The world is changing as we know it, one thing is for sure...
We rise....together
We fight.... forever
All for One
Saying goodbye to my son and son-in-law yesterday was tough. We helped pack the moving truck, did a little cleaning, shared some laughs and hugs, listened to my favorite music, played and cried happy and sad tears. I am happy for their journey together and wish them all the best!
Behind you all your memories. Before you all your dreams. Around you all who love you. Within you all you need. ~unknown

outdoorstudio says: "Uendeligt er altid en lang rejse"
Translated, it is something like this: Infinite is allways a long journey
“I want a one-bedroom house with cup holders. I want to live in my car, and make the road my home.”
― Jarod Kintz
“Our life is a constant journey, from birth to death. The landscape changes, the people change, our needs change, but the train keeps moving. Life is the train, not the station.”
― Paulo Coelho
Will be offline for a while, mother has fractured her femur/hip, she's 80 and has vascular-dementia so its not looking good.
“For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.”
― Michelle Obama, Becoming
“It’s not so much the journey that’s important; as is the way that we treat those we encounter and those around us, along the way”
― Jeremy Aldana
This is one of my own favorite; I think I am so lucky to find such a view and surroundings specially the twin tree standing so bluntly striking a shadow on the river. I had two shots of this scene, the one which I accidentally deleted in my camera was perfectly framed and it had more detailed shadows and texture. 2nd one is this one, which I had to heavily edit in photoshop to put everything in right order. In this process the boat got longer and few ghosting effect of the foliage can be seen if you make it large.
I have experimented with light and shadow here. Below or over this point the picture loses its dramatic appeal.
This picture depicts a mood of the constant struggle of life through it’s various paths in darkness, light and obstacles.
Feel free to tell me your feelings.
