My life has had its ups, and its downs. My journal really focuses on the negatives for some reason.
Journal Building, 1133 6th Street, Nevada, Iowa. The Nevada Journal Building was constructed by George and Oscar Benjamin, editors and publishers of the Nevada Journal, in 1905 to house the offices of their local newspaper. It is now the home of R.H. Investments.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Can you believe it's already the middle of July?!!! I don't want it to go too fast, so the question is, how do we slow it down? For me, I can never seem to slow time down so I try to make it count by spending as much of my free time doing the things I love with the people I love. :-)

just sharing a few scans of my Spain 2008 travel journal. i'm having such a fun time putting this together. it's been the tops!
I was in the newly refurbished Kelvingrove Café last Sunday for a bloody Mary and some sliders. Its been subtly designed with a great integration of its old original features.
I did a picture of it over 4 years ago when it was derelict here
i've been going through the list of people who have added me as a contact--you guys are amazing. seriously.

i never thought i'd say this, but i'm at a loss for good music at the moment.. favorite song/band? :)
I started out sketching the ATC border then stopped and sketched the dancer and moon. Then came the drums followed by the ATC design. The journal entry just decided it wanted to be there. hehe

No room for journaling today. Just added more doodles with the white sharpie, and more layers and highlights to the flowers with neocolor II crayons.
Can't wait to start a new page tomorrow!
Journaling is very important to me. When you're in the moment you don't realize the little things you might forget if you don't write them down. Just need to motivate myself to jot down my thoughts every so often.

A journal made for the Brooklyn Library 2022 Sketchbook Time Capsule project. The journals of 1000 participants will be buried and not opened until 2072 -- 50 years! That's why they are so small. I made the 1st 3 pages yesterday. Hopefully, I'll have enough birds to fill the 14pp.
