Searching through my old journals, written between 1995-1996.
Pictures from my grandparents in the 30's and in the 80's. My grandfather was born in 1905 and my grandmother in 1909. My grandfather died in 1992 and my grandmother in 2008. (99 years!!)

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday, Everyone!
Found this wonderful, cloth covered journal marked down at Staples, of all places!
Normally I don't purchase journals, because I make them!
But being a lover of fabric, stitchery and typewriters,
this was just irresistible, and did I mention, on SALE!
In my life I'm not sure what is public or private

Journal 2007
This is the left side page of all 20 meditations for writing your own thoughts or pasting what you would like.
I've been working on these pages back and forth for the last week....I added the "lady" last night. My hub. walked by and said he liked it...he usually doesn't comment...but he said he liked the colors on these pages. :)
I've been keeping a daily journal for about three or four years now. About 20 of them are in storage back in Texas. When we moved to England in February 2007 for a three year stint, I started numbering my books, beginning with UK #1, of course.
I finished UK #11 today. It's always bittersweet to finish a book. The old one is a dear friend, after all. The new one? Well, there's the fear of the ultimate blank page. But I find that as soon as I make my first mark, ahhh. That's better.
Well partner, this is what I ended up doing with those hexies. I hope you like it! The book is graph paper, perfect for quilt designing!
I used the Stitched in Color tutorial for this: www.stitchedincolor.com/2012/08/tutorial-journal-covers.html

I visited Barcelona last week, first time in Spain! And what an amazing vacation that was. One of the most magickal places I found in Barcelona was a little shop named Papirum. Located on Baixada Llibreteria 2 in the picturesque Gothic Quarter, this store was stacked with all sorts of journals (amongst many other things), on shelfs from floor to ceiling. I chose this little journal to be mine, I fell in love with the soft leather cover and the leathery and papery smell. The journal is made by Manufactus (an Italian company), the journal dimensions are: 14.7 x 10.2 cm / 5.8 x 4 in :: And you can visit Papirum here: papirumbcn.com
